My dad fell, broke his femur, alhad surgery, but at 95, his heart was overwhelmed. My beautiful stepmom held his hand at his bedside, she fell asleep, exhausted from being in the hospital night and day, and he died while she slept, holding his hand ❤. I thought it wS a peaceful way to go, and immediately thought of this song.

My father fell from a broken chair and he had an internal injury, that we didn't know at first. We thought he'd be okay while in the hospital. He was in so much pain that his heart gave out. Ɓut my mom was there with him by the bedside holding him. My dad said "I hope I gave you the life that you deserved." His heart then gave in a few minutes later. I felt devasted especially for my mom. This song reminds me of what happened and I cry each time I listen to this song, not for me but for my mom.
