I’ve soaked the pineapples over night in cinnamon and sugar, small amount of vanilla extract, either bourbon or rum usually rum. Grill the pineapple on the grill. Make some vanilla ice cream and pineapple and little drizzle of the marinate. Its excellent. You could def use the marinated pineapples in this also just to kick it up a notch.

I don't believe I have ever tried a pineapple upside down cake, but I think this would go over great with the family. Would Jack Daniel's be an ok substitute for the bourbon

what is the difference between this video and your other pineapple cake? which is better milk or no milk?

We are not sure what other pineapple cake you are referring to! If the pineapple juice is shy of 2 cups use bourbon--milk or water to make up the difference; milk may make it a tad richer, but likely not enough to make much of a difference.
