Sadly, he lost his dad to suicide at age 1. His grandad brought him up mostly and he always talks about him, as he was the one who pushed him towards his dream. His grandad passed away last thanksgiving which really affected him. He does a special, which is available on here. It’s the one with him on stage with the name ‘Matt Steven Rife’ in big letters behind him. It’s at the end of the show he tears up and talks about his grandad. Matt is really a kind hearted young man and deserves this and more

People who are depressed are enjoying him as a distraction for sure. You know who actually saved people which Matt Rife believes and follows by his admission? Jordan Peterson, I watched his whole interview there it was really good. Both are good people.

I caught one of his shows last August and it was his last show of the weekend at that venue. He was exhausted and even admitted on stage he was. It was still so great to see him in person. I actually think his insomnia that caused him to be hospitalized may have been due to the breakup he was dealing with at the time. Sometimes, when you're on the constant GO, the reality of stress and heartbreak will hit hard when you stop for a moment. Just a thought.

Ok now you know your limit... also, Matt, plenty of people are willing to work you to death... don't do that to yourself. Like, find a sustainable pace, and adjust, you know according to living expenses, or how much you wanna save... but it'll never be enough money, you just need enough to live, that's it. Just find a pretty good schedule that you can sleep alright on, and then, realize, in your 30's, its gonna get harder on you, and you're gonna need to slow down a bit, or you're gonna get hurt. He's 29, I'm surprised he didn't already... I had problems going too hard 20's till maybe 33, I don't remember, but its never been the same since then, I can't do the same things, the same way, you have to take it easy on your body.
