@@MattsMoshPit1 You can also try "Twilight Trails" from them. For me is the best metal song I've ever listened to. Or you can try "Stained in Red", the latest video from the latest album. The list of great songs is endless...they just don't have one bad song in their discography :-)

Thank you Matt for listening to this band who is very deserving of our attention. This is indeed a concept album that is based on a story written by Niilo Sevänen (bassist and harsh vocalist), it's about witch persecution afaik - I haven't been able to get the limited edition that has it, so I have not read it yet. The lyrics on the whole album are incredible though. Insomnium actually has three guitarists, the third one works full time as a scientist and is not always in music videos or on tour. The guest vocalist here is Sakis Tolis from the Greek band Rotting Christ. Very often they have clean vocals, too. On this album there's even a completely acoustic song, The Unrest. Other good ones from them - Lilian, Godforsaken, Pale morning star, Song of the Dusk, these are all on KZbin. The instrumental Karelia is amazing, I don't know if there's a video of it anywhere. About my username, it's addict-den, has to do with my first name 😂 but I see how it can be misread so it's all good

The keys on their latest album and EP are arranged and played by Epica's Coen Janssen. Totally forgot about it, so thanks for the reminder. I'm finally going to check it out properly. Godforsaken feat. Johanna Kurkela is fantastic. It's more layered, a bit faster, heavier with black metal influence. With Johanna's ethereal voice, it really has a special vibe to it. I'd say you get a better picture of what Insomnium really is about with this one.

Sakis Tolis is a legend, and Rotting Christ is awesome... I would really recommend their song "XΞΣ (666) - Official Video"
