This is the town of Poti in Georgia (country not the US state). Life here in this small city, on the Black Sea coast, is slower paced and far more laid back than Georgia's bigger cities, Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi. We traveled here for a day, to look around, talk to some of the locals and share what small town life is like in Georgia and how people here live. We visited the local market, headed to the outskirts of town, and even to the beach. Join us as we explore the sights, smells and sounds of provincial Georgia!

I was always wondering if you guys are related to Allen Funt, here in the states. he used to do a tv show callled 'Candid Camera' catching people off guard and in strange situations. Really funny. When I was in Leningrad in 1983 , they had these markets .. I wanted to by flowers for a Polish girl who was on the Polish team .. this type of market is where they, (our Soviet minders) took me to buy the flowers..brings me back. :)

@@MattandJulia don’t remember any kiosks … I do remember incredibly long lines for toilet paper. Seriously, they were the longest lines I’d ever seen .. I’m not exaggerating… I remember these types of markets but they were much bigger and there were these “Western” shops .. the Soviets wanted American dollars so they created these types of shops.. it had all types of western goods in them like Oreo cookies, American brand cigarettes, American brand toothpaste etc.. the Soviet citizens were banned from shopping in them .. East Germany also had these type of shops.

It seems there are a huge variety of "domestic wildlife" in Poti just like in the rest of Georgia.... 😁 People seem much more friendly and warm than in Batumi. Thanks so much for the video (only thing that bothered me was opening that bag of puffs from the bottom 🙈😁🤣)! ❤❤

(22) Then the pain of giving birth forced her (to lean) against the base of a palm tree, she said: "Oh, how good it would be if I died before now, and I became something insignificant, forgotten".(23) Then Gabriel called to him from a low place: "Do not be sad, indeed your Lord has made a stream under you. (24). And shake the base of the date tree towards you, and the tree will drop ripe dates to you. (25) . So eat, drink and be merry. If you see a human being, then say: "Indeed I have vowed to fast for the Most Merciful God, so I will not speak to a human being today". (26) So Maryam brought the child to her people by carrying him in her arms. Her people said: "O Maryam, indeed you have done something very evil. (27). O sister of Harun, your father was never an evil person and your mother was never an adulteress", (28). then Maryam pointed to her son. They said: "How will we talk to a small child who is still in the swing?" (29). Jesus said: "Indeed I am a servant of God, He gave me Al Kitab (Gospel) and He made me a prophet. (30). and He made me a blessed person wherever I was, and He ordered me to (establish) prayer and (pay) zakat as long as I live; (31). and devoted to my mother, and He did not make me a proud and wretched person. (32) And peace be upon me, on the day I was born, on the day I died and on the day I was raised to life again". (33). That is Isa son of Maryam, who spoke the true words, about which they argued about the truth. (34) . It is not worthy of God to have a child, Glory be to Him. When He has decreed something, then He only says to it: "Be", then be it. (35). Verily, God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him all of you. This is the straight path. (36). So the groups (that exist) differ among them. So woe to the disbelievers when they witness the great day. (38). And give them a reminder of the day of regret, ( that is) when all matters have been decided. And they are in heedlessness and they do not (also) believe. (39). Indeed, We inherited the earth and all the people on it, and only to Us will they be returned. (40).
