Hi Matt! First of all - I have been following your tutorials in the last week and have made more progress than what I made in months before that. You are a gem!! Second - I see that you're taking requests from people (I think). Would really appreciate a tutorial on placing an object in the world, but only on a flat surface AND only if it is not colliding with any other object. I'm trying to figure it out by myself - will keep trying.

If correcting import issues, note the differences (ie; how much you have to adjust) and re-import with these settings. Good to correct if there are a whole bunch of animations with the same problem.

I am learning soo much from you, thanks, also btw please make a tutorial on third-person bow!

I have been doing a similar thing to animate simple things, like weapon parts (particularly the bolt action) that didn't come with anims. It works very well, even if it is a bit tedious, but it is helpful to not have to spend $2k on Maya or whatever and the learning curve.

Hi Matt, so im trying to edit my arm position and make it stay in the same position all the way thru the animation. but nothing works. do u know how to do this? ty

Do you know how you can "mirror" an animation? Make a right punch into a left punch and vice versa?

Can you do a tutorial on showing how to randomize player class stuff, like "You are murderer" widget on a player and an "Innocent" widget on a player?
@monochromatic96012 жыл бұрын
there are plenty of randomization options in ue4 with a bit of trial and error it's pretty easy to set something like this up

Could you theoretically duplicate the default walking mechanic, and use it as a template to then key frame a completely original style of walking? Like a zombie walk or something
@MattAspland3 жыл бұрын
You could absolutely do that, I'm not sure how easy if it would be easier then a third party program, but it would be possible for sure yeah
@RobinDale503 жыл бұрын
Not only can you, but you *should* always work from a copy of the source. You can always go back and redo then if you mess something up. Ask me how I know...

Sir, could you please consider making the next turoial on Gun and reticle alignment??? I've become mad for it!!! Please help me with the issue!!! BTW< video was way too helpful for root motion based animation system.
@CyberRazeR3 жыл бұрын
This method is great for Inplace mehtod but wont work if root motion enabled unfortunately.
@RobinDale503 жыл бұрын
If true, this is a vital and critical tip. I am only working with Inplace because I am doing Multiplayer, but good to know. Thank you.

@@RobinDale50yeah tried it with mixamo cover animation last year didn't work root motion animation derives the motion from the animation data

Okay this is great and all but seriously Im going to need you to stop reading my mind...Its getting a little weird, first I was like, man I really wish I knew how to change the flashlight speed when turning so it wasnt just this motionless light, boom video, alright well I got these animations but they dont really work with my character model, it would be sweet if I could just tweak them without learning an entire new program like eeeeevery video I see online says...Boom, video.

Hi Matt, there are some tweaking animation aspects for solving errors that I would like you to touch. They can be seen on this tutorial kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJXXhaeei8Smjqs Cheers.
