To all the people whining "but Jeanty faced a great defense with 8+ in the box!" Didn't he face 8+ in the box all year? So a top 10 run defense basically shuts him down? And people were saying he's the best RB in 20+ years? Nah. He's not even on Derrick Henry's college level. Henry faced 6 top 25 run defenses, and the #1 strength of schedule in 2015. He had a great O-line, but frequently broke tackles and outran defenses full of NFL talent. That clearly continued throughout his NFL career. Jeanty wasn't even close to breaking Sanders TD record. If you count Sanders' bowl game (any sane person would) Jeanty was off by *THIRTEEN* touchdowns and 249 rushing yards short having played 2 additional games. Dude had an incredible season, and might have an awesome NFL career. That doesn't counter the fact that he faced light resistance (only one top 30 run defense) to get his stats.

Jeanty is a good RB. However, in a bigger conference against better competition his numbers would be great, but far less than what he had this year. He is NOT Barry Sanders. If you want to try comparing those two, then Jeanty is definitely over rated. Jeanty is a good RB in a weak conference where his numbers gave unrealistic expectations in a playoff game against a decent team.

This is something been mullen over the past few days when I seen the schedule those long layoffs can be killers for a team esprit a sport like football that is so reliant of rythym timing and all the players bein in sync if Boise doesn't have a bye and got to play a game the week before like Penn st. Does it change the outcome of this game?? Hard to say time or no time off Boise st. O line had a tough time with that Penn st. Defense hard to see that changin but overall yes I think the committee will have too look into doin somethin about the break time in between games that the higher seeds are havin to deal with Oregon for example last played on the 7th.... OF FREAKIN DECEMBER so now Oregon has to play a hot confident Ohio st. Squad of a damn near month long layoff again the committee needs to do somethin about that it is not fair for a team to play and win their conference championship then essentially b told to sit on their hand for 3 weeks to a month while the early part of the playoff figures itself out

MattbeRight Jeanty was definitely a disappointment but it goes back to what you said multiple times. Boise ST doesn’t have the guys to compete for a title. I was at the game supporting my broncos and every time the teams huddled up it was almost impossible not to notice the size difference, between weight and height Penn St made Boise look like the JV squad.
