Are you still considering a sibling for Crow, or are you settled as a family of 3 now?

@stevestop103 жыл бұрын
This was actually a very appropriate way to ask the question. I personally get the sense that they’re happy with their kid and might feel pressure to adopt another one they don’t ‘need’. But this framing leaves that option open. I just worry that they’d be adopting another kid for the wrong reason! One shouldn’t have another kid to give their first kid a sibling, they should have another kid if they want another kid!!
@tomjanowski85843 жыл бұрын
@@stevestop10 Why is this personal question appropriate? Do you even get to decide what is appropriate to ask someone else? Besides the question, I actually think your comments about them and adopting another child are so inappropriate. In the end you'll know because they can just refuse to answer.
@stevestop103 жыл бұрын
@@tomjanowski8584 I don’t know that it IS appropriate exactly although I just liked that they didn’t ask ‘so what’s the deal w baby #2?’ Like so many will ask that and not understand how pressuring it is! I am not the person to decide, didn’t mean to come off as grandstanding.

Excellent Video Men!! Hubby and I are together now 34 years, and he does not wear his ring, because he does take it on and off all the time. I never take mine off, unless I am handling chemicals that would discolor it. (Swimming Pool Maintenance! ) Never bothers me, because I know how committed we both are to this relationship. When he wants to get "Dressed Up", the ring gets a quick polish, and on it goes. Good luck with the camping adventures coming up. Do hope you will show off all your improvements to the camper. You guys are the best and Be Well! (Also, stay safe!)

My wedding ring spends most of it’s time in a drawer. When I worked, I only wore my wedding band to work and it came off as soon as I got home. Now my wedding rings only make an appearance on “special occasions”. They tend to just get in the way depending on what I am doing and like you guys, wearing it doesn’t make my love for my husband any more “real” or “true”. It’s what’s in your heart that counts! Love looking back on the videos when Crow was a little guy! He was adorable and still is! They grow up so fast! My “baby boy” just graduated from High School and will be off to college in August! It’s a bittersweet time! Anyway, always enjoy your videos! Have fun camping! Take care! Love, hugs and ✌🏼.

I am always amazed at how far we have come as a community - we are now discussing wedding ring edict…. I waited 20 years to get married to my husband (and 40 years for the right to get married) and yes for me for my generation I suppose it is an important symbol of progress… but we fought these fights for you, so do what makes you happy. The ring is not the point, it is the journey and the commitment. We have bigger issue to fight for now that we have marriage equality - now we must fight for our trans family’s and our Black, Brown and Asian Family - we need to learn as community to accept all our differences,,,, our fight before was to gain acceptance from the broader population. NOW our fight is grow in ACCEPTANCE of our own Diversity. My thoughts for whatever they are worth

The wedding ring made an appearance at the end! I haven't worn mine since the pandemic began and my husband only puts his on for parties... If he remembers. It's weird for me because when I'm outside I kind of miss it but whenever I come home I NEED to take it off. It's like a bra.

Wow! How much Crow has grown in just a few years! As far as wedding rings go, I say...You do you! A ring doesn't make a marriage. There are plenty of people out there who wear rings and don't respect their marriage vows, so there's that. Really looking forward to seeing where your next adventure ends up! Depending on how far you guys want to go, the Great Lakes are really nice this time of year...And we'd be glad to have you! Take care!

I’ve always worn my ring, though I’ll take it off for some gardening and at bedtime. My husband wore his a bit when we first got them, and then when we were able to get married. But he didn’t wear it at all since then until a few months ago when he decided he wanted the symbolism. And, I suppose after 35 years, we’re entitled to show it off. I’m looking forward to seeing you outdoors again instead of mostly the head and shoulders interview style. I enjoy seeing the work on the house, the animals, and so on.

I love my husband too BUT, like yourselves, we don’t always wear our rings for similar reasons: 1) Our jobs causes problems keeping our rings safe (we’ve already had them both refinished & redone); 2) our rings were a substantial investment to keep getting them dented, scratched, etc.); & 3) we don’t need our rings to define our commitment to each other. 👍🏽 We will wear our rings for formal occasions & special events.

OMG this was so interesting to me! Me and my husband have been together for 35 years. We bought awesome rings for each other on our 10th year, we wear them on our right hand ring finger as we felt at the time this demonstrated our commitment without being so traditional and it was a different time for the gay community. At work my husband was in a county engineering job and he faced lots of questions since he didn't have a wedding ring on his left hand (he's a handsome guy) so the str8 guys were always trying to fix him up with sisters, women friends, blah blah blah. They never knew he was gay and committed. We talked about maybe doing the wedding rings but he felt it was not essential for him to demonstrate at work so I agreed. We just retired to AZ and its no longer an issue. I say, you guys do you! BTW we both watch you each Tuesday and enjoy the construction projects (we do the same) and of course Crow, your puppy and the kitties. Love you guys, keep it up the videos as long as you can! If you have a generator make sure you know the park rules before using it. I have a solar panel that keeps my camper batteries charged. I can't run my air conditioning off the batteries, but I live in the Great Lakes region so I usually don't need air conditioning.
