My biggest concern is the fact that any hacker worth his salt can hack a Tesla.
@jwstolk10 ай бұрын
@@trickywoo5165 Most news stories are about hackers that own a tesla, and have access to the internal network connector. They managed to view more of the normally hidden self-driving statistics, enable testing modes of the software and enable some software upgrades for free. The car has several computers, motor control, driving and the infotainment system run on different computers. Most news stories are about the infotainment system, since the other computers will only run software digitally signed by Tesla. Unlike many other fossil and EV cars, the Tesla's are actually very secure and one of the least stolen cars.

Great video! I would like to add that if you have a Model Y then BEFORE you plop the rear seats down flat, make SURE the front seats are positioned far enough forward so that the headrests on the rear seats do NOT hit the back side of the front seats.

Coincidentally, I just reserved a rental Y model for a trip to Nashville, I’ve never been in a Tesla and have heard their operation is not intuitive so I searched for an instructional video and it looks like this was filmed in Nashville. Thanks.

Charging at home is actually the most convenient, if you can park on or near your own property. Charging time depends on the used charger and plugs (and how much you drive in a day) but should typically have no trouble re-charging the car at night. For road trips exceeding the battery range, the Tesla Superchargers (or other public chargers) are a fast way to fill the battery, about 20x faster than home charging. I bought the 2024 Model 3, which uses buttons on the steering wheel instead of steering stalks, but the rest of the video is still very relevant. I like the new slider on the edge of the touch screen for drive/reverse/park. It automatically appears at low speed, it is not required to touch the break and does a very smooth transition when changing direction without a complete stop.

Im getting my Telsa model Y on thursday. Im really confused on how one pedal driving works. Does the car know when it has to stop when i stop pressing the accelerator or will i have to be ready to use the brakes?

11:44 If you use a 240 V outlet, it's only a difference at most of 15 miles every hour, so I'd personally go with the portable one with a 240V outlet

I would to have the speed odometer in front of the steering wheel, so we don't have to turn to the right to see the speed.

Easily, for the value of money and what you get and what the model y offers in terms of owning experience, zero cost maintenance, fun factor, functionality, versatility, efficiency, overal driving experience, the numerous features, I believe Model Y Performance at $53,000USD is the best car ever made in history. If you had only one car in the world you could choose what would it be. You wouldn't choose audi R8 or BMW M5 (good gosh with the maintenance and priced more too or Lambo (can't take your family in it)

As to ride comfort it is a hit and miss depending on the model. I drove a model 3 and found it very uncomfortable, feeling ever bump on the highway, with my back seat passengers immediately telling me. But in the model Y the comfort from suspension is sublime. I loved it and put on order that day because it makes the most sense for me as I drive for work and around my area, doing about 17k miles a year minimum.

Great video - do you have a video on how to activate Autopilot?
@MattDanadel Жыл бұрын
No, but you tap twice on the right stalk to engage it. You press on the brake pedal or pull the right stalk up to disengage it. Tapping once on the right stalk engages traffic aware cruise control

I’ve watched dozens of Tesla videos but had no clue there was only one pedal. No one else felt that was important to mention it.
@MattDanadel Жыл бұрын
No, it’s not that there is only one pedal. There are 2 pedals: accelerator & brake pedal just like any other car. What I was referring to is one-pedal driving, which is made possible in electric cars because of regenerative braking. This is a mechanism found on most hybrid and full-electric vehicles. It captures the kinetic energy from braking and converts it into the electrical power that charges the vehicle's high voltage battery. Regen braking also slows the car down, this is where one-pedal driving comes from. You still will use your brakes in the case of an emergency or whenever you desire.

BEFORE…All of you should deep think about...IT'S REAL TRUE!! *Tesla Model 3 Total Cost After 10 Years =20k for Battery/10years + $ Suppercharged/Home (+) SERVICES/Maintainance = TOO MUCH?? *Hond/Toy 2024 Total Cost After 10 Years = 0,636k for 02-Battery/10years + $ Gas (+) SERVICES/Maintainance = VERY CHEAP!! Why... ??
