Been there last week, absolutely impressive to stand at almost 3900 meters and have a closeup view of the Breithorn, a 4000+ meter peak. To all the haters: not exactly sure what it’s “ruining”, the Swiss and Italians have a knack for making mountains accessible in a non-intrusive way.
@Slimey-sq6oy5 ай бұрын
As a Swiss I can confirm this is true. Buildings such as these on a mountain add to the mountain experience instead of ruining it. The mountain is still there, nothing that has been built is big enough do ruin a mountain.
@Smallfrye4 ай бұрын
I was there a little over a month ago as well, I loved being able to pop out of the station to climb Breithorn and be back in Zermatt in just a few hours. The Klein Matterhorn cable car provides phenomenal access to to the mountains for all kinds of people who would otherwise never get to experience the views and terrain you find up there.

Maybe you meant "Altoatesini engineers". If you really knew the area where they come from you would know that altoatesini are South Tyroleans for first and nothing they have to do with Germans. It is true that they are a german speaking community (more exactly an austrian speaking) but they are Italian by birth and passport as well is 100% Italian the company those engineers work for. And for what i know so far the other big worlwide competitor of HTI (of which Leiner it is part) is the austrian Doppelmayr. So no typical German industrial sector, perhaps in the future but not now.

Overall great channel with docs like they used to be!! Not sure if you are the producers of the docs themselves. If you have influence, here's some well-intended feedback: All the docs that I've seen have, in my opinion, oversimplified or "dumbed things down" too much. Sometimes even minor factual errors just to swoop over a detail instead of diving in a little bit deeper.Also just in this one I think you don't need to fade the music. Keep it at the lower level as a maximum. Thank you for your hard work!

That's wild. I just watched a video of people riding on this cable tram a few hours ago & I commented on how I could imagine how they built this using helicopters, but I couldn't fathom how they installed the cables & now here's a video discussing the construction. They didn't address the main thing I wanted to know. How do they string up the initial cable? I suppose maybe they use a helicopter, but it seems that the cable would be too heavy & awkward for a helicopter to pull to that distance & elevation.
