Matterport PRO3 vs Faro S150 pointcloud compare

I think this is a great video, but as someone mentioned, I would also like to know whether the Matterport file you use is from the MatterPak or the more highly detailed E57. Nevertheless, I still believe the Matterport point cloud is an excellent tool for many jobs, especially considering the price difference compared to Faro or Leica. Obviously, it has its limits, but the operator should be aware of those based on the project type and the data required. I think it’s like choosing between an Alfa Romeo Stelvio and a Fiat Cinquecento: both are cars and will take you to the same destination. The question is, how comfortable and fast do you want to arrive? But sometimes, smaller cars are better (for example, if you live in a busy city a 500 will make your life easier).

yep, that is $27k (blue) vs $6k (white). I have also seen significant drift between scans for Matterport Pro 3.

Which scan resolutions did you use with the Faro and the Pro3? And it looks like you used the XYZ low res pointcloud from the Matterpak, not the higher res pointcloud from the E57 file, is that correct?
