Bertolacci was owned at the same time by Roma and Genoa. Roma bought the entire ticket of the player (I don't khow how you say in english "cartellino del giocatore" lol) due to the fact that two Clubs can't own at the same time a player anymore. Milan was interested and bought him. It's not very strange as transfer :P

Liked the idea of the video Matt but can't help but feel it was a bit rushed. Would have been interesting to hear a bit more about some of the transfers towards the end as you did towards the end you just sped through them a bit. E.g. you could have added Re: Mascherano that he only played 4 or 5 games for West Ham during his whole season there and also that he was signed without Pardew even having a say about it... those two things are more bizarre than the fact he even went there in the first place i think! Love the squads though so keep it up!

Bertolacci was shared ownership between roma and Genoa, and since they stop having shared ownerships in Seria A either Roma or Genoa had to buy the X% the other club owned, in this case Roma. So basically Bertolacci had been owned by Roma for years and therefore he could join AC Milan this summer. That is also why Roma "got" him so cheap, because they only had to pay for X%, while Milan had to pay the full prize

Yeah tevez ended up relegating Sheffield United from the premier league and there was a court case to get us reinstated into the premier league but they ended up having to pay us about 50 million in compensation and look where we are now...

The Bertolacci transfer isn't weird. Roma and Genoa owned both 50% of the player and Roma bought the rest of 50% for 7.5m and there was no use for him at Roma, since their midfield is pretty jacked and Bertolacci has some competition ahead. Milan bought him for 20m, which is a bit overpriced, yes, but it works out in Milan, since that's one of their weak points and Bertolacci had a great season actually.
