those are the best people, brother. I hope I am that person to others and I've been lucky to have life long relationships with people who have those traits who facilitate those feelings of "simple comfort", so to speak. You're statement touches on one of the most important traits or virtues somebody can have, i believe. As it more often than is synonymous ties to many other "gifts" that offer us a home, a source stability, connection, etc) during this lucid experience/gift of life that we are all having and sharing. My parents had a similar relationship to Matthews. Nearly 50 years married. Half living seperate. Many of my younger years were spent with my mother chasing my father from bar to bar on weekends. Rough times but at the end of the day they loved one another. My father passed away last week from cancer and his last words were "I'm ready to go be with your mother where I'm meant to be" and he then passed away peacefully... I told my sister when we get his ashes I was going to put his urn right next to mom's in the living room so I could listen to them argue with one another and I would feel at home again.❤

@@Imatherian124 Interstellar was where I first watched him and he was absolutely magnificent in it (especially the video message scene) but the character was fairly basic. Plus, the blue-eyed heroism was a mode we'd typically associate with an actor like him. But I've never seen a character like Rust Cohle in anything, nor would I regularly picture McConaughey in the role. He absolutely made that role his - the whole personality of the series feels built around his performance.

As I watch your podcasts I sometimes feel very emotional about the things you say about your life and family and friends.! It broke my heart when you say so many people you have loved are now gone. It must be hard to say that on KZbin with a straight face! You are a magical person with a great gift of communication that you share so eloquently. You ask all the right questions and everything you discuss. You are still so young to have such wisdom and I can’t watch anything else on KZbin. Bless you Lex! You have a divine privilege to share your heart. I don’t know how to thank you for being who you are and how you give light to a very dark time in our history.

Lol. Thank you Lex for your visualization as well. Always nice to have someone help learning how to walk through the grey areas, also known as blind spots. Incredibly well articulated at 14:46. The moments I've been hit with sudden realizations that I was not quite where or who I had thought I was are the most profound experiences of my life. I've only experienced it a handful of times, but absolutely nothing beats that clarity. The world never makes more sense than in those moments yet somehow it feels impossible to describe.

Where your whole mind just turn silent And all of a sudden your inner monologue stops being a voiceline in your head but truly becomes a passing thought? Where every actions you do on autopilot becomes noticable Where every person you see is just another version of you Where being present becomes your coffee? Where you let the future happens by itself and whatever happens, as long as you are walking in it you will be fine? I had that 2 years ago And for the next 8 months It was like i finally get to enjoy my real mind However i lost it as of now and i dont know if looking for it, is the right move I think it will happen when im ready I just need to move forward Kinda fascinating it happened to me at 20

@@jamescinman1993guys I hate to say this because I am a fan of Matthew, but this was a scary interview because it confirmed a lot of things. He speaks in obvious parables in rhythms. The way he spoke about dreaming about a future and how you have to pass an initiation is extremely obvious to me. If you didn't know MM is a huge mason. When he talks about passing thru an initiation before you can obtain your dreams is very disturbing. This is exactly the things most fraternities do to their members before they are allowed to obtain a higher status or be brought into the group. He talks about this in a few ways. Most likely his family is old rite masons, in guessing his father as well. It's usually passed down, you aren't easily excepted. It's no coincidence he became a huge star, he was mentored into it trust me. Obviously his father was a creep as well rubbing his underage girlfriends feet, tells you exactly what type of family he comes from. You can believe what you want, go an look it up you will see how involved he is in the fraternity.

Seeing the significance of every minimal thing in daily life is definitely paralyzing! The hardest part is getting out of the loop once you see it and just trying to ignore 99% os the stuff that happens all day so you can focus on what "really matters". And in the end the only way to focus is by forgetting the reason why what matters actually happens which is the other 99% of stuff we are ignoring on our daily lives making it happen.
