The fact that even HE agrees how the police handled everything was unfair speaks volumes about the justice system. If even the CRIMINAL believes the victim should’ve gotten better treatment from law enforcement… so messed up.

He has NO remorse or empathy. He asked his victim to donate the settlement. And he’s concerned about his own assault but not that of his victims. He needs life in prison.

The worst part is that it is impossible to believe David Sesma was not involved in this, the couple mentioned several times that there was more than one perpetrator and in Muller's other crimes he has never recorded it. This was a targeted hit against Andrea, who was Aaron's ex, and poor Denise got all of it instead.

Its insane to me how you can be the victim of a serious crime and be laughed at and called a hoaxter by the media Edit: Probably too late now for an apology, I bet Denise and Aaron just want to move on from this. But if similar were to happen in the future I think the media should be required to apologise

let's not conflate between two horrendous men who are of completely different persuasions. matthew muller is a sexual deviant who actually had some twisted compassion for his victims and needed to dehumanize them to be able to follow through on his compulsions, which is why he felt sorry and let some of them go, or tried to empathize with them. he didn't seem to have any bloodlust, and in fact asked denise to play the part of his girlfriend so he could use the sex tape to his own pleasure with a sound conscience. ted bundy was a psychopath, a whole different league of evil.

Aaron was cheating on Denise. He was having an affair with Andrea. In fact, they were doing it at Aaron's house. She spent the night there. Matthew came to Aaron's house to kidnap Andrea... not Denise. In fact, Denise owes Matthew big time for saving their relationship. If it wasn't for Matthew, Aaron would have left Denise. He still had feelings for Andrea. Aaron and Denise wouldn't have never gotten married and brought two beautiful children to this world. Denise knew that Aaron cheated on her because Matthew told her that Matthew came to the house to kidnap not Denise but Andrea. Denise is not stupid. The only reason that Matthew came to house was he must have seen Andrea at Aaron's house. Indeed, Denise confronted Aaron. Aaron admitted that he cheated on her and asked her to forgive him. He would never hurt her again. Denise forgave him. The two got married and have two children. Matt was blessing in disguise whether they like it or not. Aaron thought that he was a player. The experience humbled him. In addition, Matthew has suffered from Mental illness. I don't think that American legal system should treat individuals with mental illness like dirt. They should evaluate them accordingly and give them a fair trial and help them.

My theory is he had been watching them for some time and thought that Denise was Andrea because they looked similar and she had lived in that house too (I think?) I believe he was completely lying about being apart of a group. He acted alone and could only go through with raping someone the way he did Denise, which was to make her feel like he "had" to to protect her from the rest of the group (which doesn't exist).

It's because it's all about appearances. The most likely reason I can think of that he didn't go through with raping certain victims was because of how he would appear to them. IE.. It's not real concern for the victim; it's caring about how HE LOOKS to the victim, which fits with a very specific rapist profile as well as narcissism and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he had this diagnosis.

Two options: he had likely peeping tommed Aaron’s house in the past & took pictures of Andrea when she lived there. He went into the house that night with the intention of doing this to Andrea, and was surprised and didn’t know they had split, but still took Denise. I believe the “investigator” was just the journalist who was falsely reporting that Denise’s kidnapping was a hoax, they usually provider their emails at the end of online articles. Option 2: Andreas ex bf who was in the FBI was involved and ordered the kidnapping and same thing - mistake made. Lots of FBI are also former military and with the recent allegations of systemic sexual assault being brushed under the rug within their own headquarters - the fact her ex didn’t recuse himself from the case scream corrupt. A good law enforcement wouldn’t risk the perception - an arrogant one who feels above the law doesn’t care.

Nah don’t blame false accusations for the police not believing women - false reporting of SA is no higher than it is for arson, robbery, mugging, assault etc. Our system protects men who are violent towards women and children - especially sexually violent. You are more likely to spend more time in prison for tax evasion than you are child molestation or rape. This is systemic problem that is not the fault of women or on women to fix.

I honestly believe the part where he meant to take Andrea (Aaron’s ex-gf). Clearly there were others involved. For example, the “associates” he spoke of. Aka the men who came to the cabin while Denise was held hostage to construct a plan B with Mathew. Perhaps including Andrea’s ex (David Sesma). Call me crazy but he was coincidentally present during the case (even though he knew it was a conflict of interest) and Denise’s interrogation with detective Mustard (who intentionally tried to make her look like a liar). I guarantee that if properly investigated, they could link him to Mathew at some point. Maybe the military? David held others back from further investigating. He was also involved in relaying the results of Denise’s SART exam (which was likely sabotaged). Aaron’s phone was turned off during crucial moments of the investigation. This entire case smells like a coverup by dirty law enforcement officials. The fact that Mustard received an officer of the year award after royally destroying a case as big as this one speaks volumes. Perhaps Mathew was the Mare Island creeper who liked to SA women, but I think he was also the fall guy in this scenario. There’s certainly evidence to prove that he wasn’t working alone and had inside help. Not to mention, he remains quiet to questions regarding why he chose Denise. He appears to be protecting those ‘associates’, which leads me to wonder why and what he’s getting in return.

While for Ted Bundy I ONLY feel disgust and distain. I don’t buy his slimy nice guy persona and i don’t believe anything he says. It’s very odd it’s like the dichotomy is real in Ed Kemper and this guy but in others like Bundy there is no dichotomy- there’s just a false public persona. Well, Denise did listen to a car aproaching and then leving while her kidnapper was present, and she listened to several voices. So there were definitely more people. Then it was all this thing about how Andrea was the actual target and that she was the ex-girlfriend of one the FBI agents involved in the super negligent investigation trying to blame the victims (very convenient) and it was actually the FBI who tricked Aaron and lied to him when they told them he had failed the lying test detector exam to make him confess for a crime he didn't commit, again very convenient, then the police did nothing, again, to actually investigate if more people was involved and jump to re-assured the kidnapper acted alone, etc etc. I don't believe a thing coming from the Vallejo Police Department about this issue, everything is waaaay too shady.

Denise and Aaron described being woken up by multiple individuals. They heard more than one man having a discussion when they discovered Densise wasn't the correct girl. And Denise over heard a conversation between men when she was locked up at the cabin. The documentary revealed that one of the cops on the case used to date Aaron's ex --the girl that was supposed to get kidnapped. That cop was probably involved which is why the department was being so unhelpful ---they were covering their buddies ass. Cops are crooks, man. Law enforcement is rife with corruption. But as we learned there are very rarely good cops, like the woman officer that made the connection from Muller to Denise.

It took him redoing similar crimes and getting caught for the whole story to come together and believing the victims… pretty crazy and infuriating. Thank God those cops, who investigating his last crime in another city nearby, arresting him and putting all the dots together. He was 100% involved and orchestrated the entire investigation. He too was blown away at their stupidity. Muller and Sesma were working together in some capacity. There is no way the comment “this was supposed to be for Andrea” makes any sense….unless you consider that the FBI agent was in on it to some degree. Probably in charge of the entire thing. He is the 2nd individual Aaron and Denise both mention. IMO. 🤔🤷‍♀️

This is my theory. I could be totally wrong, but this is what I think. I think mustard, the Vallejo police, Sesma, and the ex finance were all in on it together. I think she wanted her ex back and since her ex was with the fbi, he had contacts to orchestrate the kidnapping. From what I’ve heard, through the dark web there are hitmen sites where you can pay hitmen to take people out. The FBI gets involved with the dark web for cases. Muller said to Denise that he got paid to do what he does which implies a transaction was in the process. Chances are if you’re a hitman, you gotta have some sort of law enforcement/military experience. They were tryna sweep it under the rug because they were dirty. They didn’t hurt Aaron during the kidnapping because he was the prize that the ex wanted but they kidnapped the girl to get her out of the picture. Why is it that they knew their names and the exact layout of their house? Who else knows that info? His ex fiance Andrea. When kidnapped, Muller said to Denise that she wasn’t the intended target, that Andrea was and I think Andrea told the kidnappers to say that so she could look like the victim too which would cross her out from being a suspect. I think the ex fiancé needs to be investigated personally. There’s no reason why he should’ve been a free man for so long. There are dirty people on the inside who helped him. It reeks of suspicion. They then tried to close the case and say he acted alone. Why? I believe they personally know who the others are and they’re trying to shut it down for good because they’ll all get in trouble.

But with Denise, she didn't plead or cry with him and he finally went through with the assault. The fact that he takes the victims feelings into account is very strange psychology. i’m thinking grandiose sense of self (a sort of god complex) with narcissistic traits. he has his own twisted sense of “justice”(don’t know if it’s the right word) and his own sets of values that make it seems like he had “empathy” for certain of his victims??? and on top of that a sexual problem (he doesn’t get off on the violence, but more on the sexual act itself (doesn’t want his victims to scream or feel too “traumatized” so he sedates them of retracts when victims seems to panicked) ???? i don’t know but he doesn’t seem to fit the criteria to be a psychopath ?? ether way there’s a mental problem there (apart from the bipolar disorder and the ptsd)

Do you think he always had these deviant proclivities his whole adult life? Or did they manifest as his mental illness took hold? He had been married, had girlfriends. Would he have wanted to dominate them sexually, or was this compulsion reserved for strangers he’d been watching? You’re right he didn’t seem to be excited by violence but still sought non-consensual sex.

Definitely a couple things point to that being a possibility. Denise talking like she heard a conversation in the other room. However, that could have been a total act by Muller.

Not bipolar, no matter what he says. A bipolar person doesn't (and likely couldn't) meticulously plan-out this sort of caper, not only through this assault & abduction, but the various other assaults he's known to have "successfully" pulled-off. It's a common-enough excuse though, and these days, also a convenient one, since those with mental illness are themselves seen as "victims." Indeed, I've no doubt Muller would describe both himself & those he preyed upon as equally "victims" of a mental disease over which he had no control. Claiming to "be bipolar" is a disgrace to those who truly suffer from the illness, the vast majority of whom only ever hurt themselves.

Wonder if this is similar to firefighter arson, but from the lawyer aspect. He got bored of being the lawyer so created his own drama and now not only gets to be the lawyer in the case but also the perpetrator. Weird, nonetheless, but makes me wonder.

Denise and Aaron were also horrifically traumatised about the media coverage! And that this reporter and his colleagues apologised both personally and publicly to the couple. The media have a lot to answer for- not just with how they reported on this case either, but for many reasons.

Watch out for psychopathic behavior. For example, when he’s rapes are brought up. Common physic behavior..NARCISSISM and denial.

Muller's outrage for those falsely accused that he says he's trying to exonerate is the height of iorny. He says if he's able to free even one innocent victim, then it will all kind of even-out. He's either a master at compartmentalizing or he's straight-up delusional; perhaps being in the military helps with the former - if one considers compartmentalizing a useful skill?
