100%!!!!!! Don’t say even ONE WORD to the cops wo a lawyer NO MATTER HOW INNICENT YOU THINKMOR KNKW YOU ARE!!!!!! Even if you can’t afford one at that moment, or don’t even know who to call, it doesn’t matter...you tell the cops you want a lawyer, that you won’t talk to them wo one...and MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THROUGH W THAT, NO MATTER * WHAT * THEY TELL YOU!!! Then, ask if you’re under arrest. If they say no, then IMMEDIATELY GET UP AND WALK OUT...AND HEAD STRAIGHT TO A LAWYER IF YOU CAN AFFORD ONE, OR STRAIGHT TO LEGAL AID IF YOU CAN’T!!!!! And, if they DO arrest you, YOU STILL NEED TO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!!!! Lastly... if you do get arrested and don’t/can’t get a lawyer for some reason, JUST SIT TIGHT...when you get arraigned, there should be a public defender in the courtroom to assist you w the process and can probably help you figure out how to obtain your own legal counsel. As hard as it may be, you absolutely must NOT speak to the cops or any federal law enforcement people, or any other investigator at ANY time wo a lawyer present...and anyone who tries to get you to talk after you say the magic word - “LAWYER” - is breaking the law, and they damn well know it!!!!! Oh, and if you’re actually GUILTY???? You should still absolutely NOT, under ANY circumstances, speak to the cops or any law enforcement wo a lawyer present, bc you’re guaranteed the RIGHT 1- to an attorney, and 2- to NOT incriminate yourself!!! PS - Please make sure you ask for a lawyer even if you have NOT been arrested, and even if you have NOT been read your Miranda rights...you do NOT need to have your rights officially read to you in order to partake of them...our Constitutional rights are ongoing!!!!!!

After watching the Netflix special, i am very suspicious of David Sesma, the FBI Agent that dated Andrea Roberts who was Aaron Quinns "Ex" girlfriend, who just so happens to've been the real target. Its not coincidence that he was the agent assigned to the case. We know that there were more than one perpetrator involved the night of the Home Invasion/ Kidnapping. We know this bc in both Aaron and Denise statement, they say there was multi Perps, and then it was backed up in the email sent to the lawyers & SF Tribune by Mueller who mentioned that 2 of them were ex military as well as Prestige College Grads. We also know that the man that they caught "Mathew Mueller" was Ex military and went to Harvard. . It is not far fetched to think that Agent Sesma was one of these men. He couldve been ex military & since hes an FBI agent, he most likely graduated from a top College. If i was an investigative journalist, I wouldve been searching for a connection between the 2 men. Its also not far fetched to think that the FBI themselves help Sesma cover his ass.

You know Gone Girl is not about a couple who fakes a kidnapping, Gone Girl is a story about a psychopath, Nick was not a psychopath amazing f****** Amy was the psychopath. I think that movie went to people's heads in the sense that now when someone really is kidnapped people question it, but honestly though think about the planning and the courage it would take to plot and go through with your own kidnapping. Just like the Sherri papini case we now know she was really kidnapped which I never doubted the whole time, I mean the emotion coming out of her husband was some of the realest of emotion I've ever seen, it was raw. I think it's the police's job to take everyone seriously unless they have absolute proof the person is lying because God forbid it happen to one of them.

These cops must still believe in Santa Claus if they are using a work of fiction as a guideline for their cases!

Poor Aaron!!!! He was so close to going to prison for a crime he didn’t commit! Scary!

The police never solve any cases, normally it's the general public that solve these cases. I would file a lawsuit against them.🤣🤣💯💯

I live in the Bay Area, and I’ve never heard of this story before. Only discovered this story yesterday because of the random recommendations from KZbin. Now I’m going down the rabbit hole after this clip.

Most of the times (but not always, of course) you can totally tell when a person or persons is lying, making 💩 up. This couple truly look absolutely genuine!!! They're traumatized! Wth is wrong with the police?!

I live in Vallejo the police get away with murder here it’s been happening for decades.

That's f-ed up how they treated the 2 victims. I haven't watched this whole video but how the law enforcement officers and FBI investigators treated her was disgusting and unprofessional. This really happened and the law enforcement are playing games with them 2. What the heck I want to watch the whole video.

It would legit suck so bad to be told you didn't just go through what you just went through. Like how you gonna tell me I'm lying especially when they find proof.

The worst part is that this happens so much. Feel so sorry for the victims. If you think of how Americans are policed, cases like this and all the unarmed murders just not coming out, most communities are suffering ptsd, everyone is literally afraid of the people we call to protect us. Thank you to the good guys bound by the numbers of fraud

Imagine if they had to go through there whole lives without being believed, it would of killed them, cops need to chill on the (I have seen this happen 100 times before I am not silly BS) weird things happen, they are both lucky they didn't end up in jail

I believe them 100%!! I work in chase bank, our bank manager was held captive at home, a couple of months ago, whilst the perpertraitors told her instructions on how to get money out of the bank, she dropped her children off at school, knowing she may never see them again, she told them her love she has for them, she then headed to the bank to do as she was forced.. They were listening and watching our every moves, we were held captive for 12 hours of hell.. I cant say much more in detail, but she never did get to see her children again...I have recently handed in my resignation..terrifying true story...

Why would the police just ASSUME that they were lying. The story does seem far fetched, but even I could tell that he was very distraught. He wasn't faking the trauma. And why would cops tell the victim to re-live the rape?? I hope those police were fired for making such a mockery of the profession!

Why did they not test his blood? He would have had marks from the zip ties.

Since the police believed he was lying, they could easily have reasoned that the guy had his gf tie him up before disappearing.

I hope they sued the police department and the officers that were too prejudiced and just too stupid to do their job. Some media stations deserve to get sued too for not just reporting the news, but were being extremely snarky towards the couple.

The headline here is so misleading. Their claims have been proved in multiple court proceedings and as a news organisation that has covered it this just seems unfairly clickbaitish
