People don’t seem to put muscle into their poses anymore. The greatest pose I ever got hit with was the simple au batido in my face but he held so long he literally starred into my eyes and checked his watch. He was like a statue and his face told me the pose wasn’t anything to him, a lot of my game was variations on that pose and moving in and out of them from other poses. But the perfect stillness shut my whole game down, he just told me all these T poses are just child’s play and you don’t actually have anything to show. Being able to be moving and hit the pause button out of nowhere is always the most impactful way to pose. When it’s just a float rather than a freeze it looks way softer and lacks the edge and aggression that make posses such a huge tool in bboying. It’s on thing to be flexible and dynamic another to has such insane balance that you can stick it like stone.
