I saw a few other videos of other robots at that events which also appeared tele-operatored or remote controlled. The dancing robots behind the plexiglass i think were pre programmed to do thier dance moves.

I’m VERY bullish on Optimus and Tesla, and I’m convinced these robots are following input from lead “actors” in a warehouse or trailer somewhere. It reminds me of an interactive show we saw at Disney World a decade ago-a nice, interactive cartoon with Crush the turtle from Nemo. It was hilarious and very well done… one of our very favorite bits from an amazing day. Emulating the remote human or using AI, it’s still an impressive, amazing demonstration.

The voice/cadence/understanding nuance deeply in a given language (up to date within at least 2-4 weeks of the latest “trends”) will be where the most challenge comes to making more lifelike androids. We haven’t even figured out proper live translation yet, so it’ll be a little bit. It’ll get there no doubt though.

I don't think this is remotely controlled, and I tell you why: For some time already, AI has been able to turn prompts into 3D movement when it comes to humanoid virtual figures. When someone asks the robot to perform a certain action, it probably imagines the figure doing that action and simulate it really quick, then when it sees it doesn't have any problem doing that, it performs that action As for the speech, you never heard about GPT-4o? And that model was announced many months ago
