Wow this is amazing! I’ve actually cycled from Germany to the north cape and planned on taking exactly that route! At the end I decided not to give it a try because I was on my own and the weather was bad! It’s so cool to see someone finally do it! I would have never expected to find this on KZbin❤

Just for a change, Matthew goes on an epic adventure. Heh heh. God has crafted the architectural flourishes, Matthew and Eirik do their road warrior bit. Fabulous scenery, fancy filming, and pleasing perhaps nervous self-mocking. It looks pretty manageable on the map, I mean it's only 12 km, right? The unwieldy bikes and assorted bags over difficult terrain made you less than nimble, and you did well to make it back to the car. Novelty is the word, but doesn't do your efforts justice. Congratulations on another great gig and video.

Ah, Breheimen! I visited this gem in August of 2015 , stayed two nights at the DNT-cabin Sota Sæter, did a short hike on a glacier nearby. This park is probably not so well known as its neighbour to the south-east; Jotunheim NP. (although I assume that the word has spread since 2015). Next time we`ll be doing the 20km hike down towards Nørstedalssæter (another DNT-cabin) which is just inside Jotunheimen NP. Greetings from Oslo.

If you want to make an actual list of Norway's top 5 grass roads, one of the roads you should consider is the "Kongevegen over Filefjell" through Lærdal, but using the hiking paths whenever possible. (Especially through Galdane, Vindhella, and the bits around Maristova.)

Awesome, really enjoyed this. Totally relate to you telling how the amazing scenery makes one forget about pedaling and climbing and instead just pulls one along from vista to next breathtaking vista. Kinda crazy hiking 12k through that mountain terrain, obviously it wouldn't have been possible in bad weather. Get lucky or had you waited for a great weather prognosis?

I would be very interested in another one that Strava says no one did on a bike. The hiking path from Nordrestølstjørna to the Songedalen DNT cabin, to get around the limited ferry service at Lysebotn. Looks more doable than this (more epic) one, since you can actually see most of the path on satellite pics.

I would love to do the walk between Gjerde and Sotaseter - without bike. It would just leave a logistic challenge - how to get to the starting point and how to get away further from the finish point - because I don't like walking on roads.

Hi Eirik, Matthew.......... "Do we like to do it again?" "No, never, not in this year." "Do we recomend it?" "No, we never recomend it........... hhhmmm, it´s too late for the autumn....... because of daylight." I like trips where I say: "Never do it it again." My wife always scrolls her eyes when she hears answers like this..... "No, he never will do it again....... in this year. He never can stand still." I love my wise wife. Guys, I hope for you that I see the next ride on Strava. Since Eirik is a Baby-Father he has to hurry up..... Greetings from Saigon. I´m planning my next trips......
