Good video here. It seems like a viable option for someone who wants a tablet and computer. Instead of buying/carrying two items, you only need one. Yeah, it's not for everyone, but it does fit for a lot of users.

11 inches is the sweet spot for me, when it comes to compact laptops. The 11 inch macbook air was a perfect fit for me. keyboard is not cramped and there's enough space for the touchpad. If they can use the 4:3 aspect ratio, then it will be my go to laptop.

Considering you can get the same computer in mini pc form for 130-150£ a display and a battery is the only addition in cost. It could be even less.

A slightly larger device with better battery would have made this so much better in my opinion. Still it is not bad for something small and relatively inexpensive but so close to being a really neat device.
@MattRobb8 ай бұрын
Yeah true but the whole purpose in my eyes is to be small and portable so adding extra battery would maybe ruin that aspect
@nadtz8 ай бұрын
@@MattRobb I think a lot of people would take a larger device to have the longer battery life but again I can see how a lot of people would be fine with this device as is as well. Either way solid review, I didn't even know N100 laptops were out there.

The battery life is just inexcusable for something meant to be ultra-portable. I have a GPD Win Max 2 which is also a 10" device but it has a 67Wh battery and will easily give me 10+ hours of work while also having an exponentially more powerful processor.
@MattRobb8 ай бұрын

That form factor is particularly useful for confined space use - I still have a 10.1" netbook from 2009 which did admirably in confined spaces such as cattle class seating on an aircraft, in a bus, confined seating on trains, etc. It can be effective and useful where even moderately larger machines such as a 13.3" system can't properly open; there are some brands which also have a screen which tilts in such a way that it can float above the keyboard so if you're really confined you can still look down at it but that may be a bit uncomfortable for long durations. I'm curious to know if this was sourced from within the UK or not (or did it have to come from China?).

I feel like Chuwi has something that's crazy good, but stuff like the touchpad and battery life pushes it into "ehhh" territory. The N100 is no slouch in performance, having the same specs of an older desktop i5 at roughly 7 Watts(!!!). But unless the makers wanted to spend time and money on more efficient drivers and firmware, they would've been better off with an even lower end chip.

The M1. from Apple is 5nm not 10nm and has 2.7 * the power while using 1/3 of eneregy. That there is no point to update an M1 Macbook to M3 (heat) is another matter. The M1 rules.
