"The Rain Woman" is an interesting one. It's so simplistic, yet it conveys a mess of emotions that I can't quite sort through. I've noticed in music that it's difficult to distinguish between "peaceful" and "sad", and this image replicates that effect. And yet, her lips seem to almost be smiling. The proportions of her neck make it clear that she's not human, and is that thing on her head her hat or her hair? I want to say hat, because the rain is streaming off it, but it seems feathery, like the few strands of hair along her forehead. The way the fog curls around the base of her neck almost make it seem like the black lump at the bottom might not really be her body…and it's odd that she clearly is female, just from the bone structure of her face, despite the odd proportions making her clearly not human at all. I could gaze at that painting for hours…I wouldn't want it in my HOUSE - the idea of walking into a room and seeing that is terrifying - but it's fascinating to pick apart the details.

Since when I was a kid, my family & I went to my grandparents house for several days when I saw the painting of Love Letters Replica and I didn't know that the painting is actually haunted until I watched this video, but I'm glad that it was a copy of the painting. The original painting that was located in Driscoll Hotel in Austin, Tx, is truely haunted.
