I have watch the renovations that you have shared on the unique house(and shop) that you have found in your care. You have done great and fascinating work on it, and your videos are great. I know it has taken allot of work to put together the videos, but I really appreciate the work you do, and also the opportunity to have insight into your part of the world. Thank you.

A few years ago I studied frequently in the German Historical Institute Library in London's Bloomsbury Square. It only opened in 1976, in a late-17th / early-18th century building, but the style of the shelves gives the library a real ancient feel. I loved that library.

I've just finished seeing all the videos again, so this one came as a nice continuation. If these are "just" bookshelves, I can't imagine what fancy ones would look like. Violin practice was a nice touch. Repetitio est mater studiorum.

Excellent video, as we have come to expect from you! I like the exposed star drive fasteners. Their color blends in nicely, and the star socket is not a distraction.

Hopefully you have more footage on all this, your videos are exquisite sir. Music, editing, and of course content. Thanks

There is two more reasons to have a 'stepped' design, wider at bottom than at top: One, it leaves more free space in narrow rooms: If your shoulder brushes against the shelf, your knee is still 15cm/4inch away from the shelf! So you can make the lower part that much deeper without using extra space. Secondly, it protects against them being pulled over (e.g., by a toddler climbing on them) and getting someone crushed.

Lovely! With them holding heavy loads from the books, how will you prevent the shelves from bowing/sagging over time/pulling away from the screws at either end please?
