I remember watching this over and over again when I was just 6 years old. Today I'm 19 and this video is still fascinating.

The xylophone effect is really nice.

That looks *almost* like an almost exact copy (as I remember it) of ZAC at the Zippo Museum in Bradford, PA. That -- and this -- are amazing and mega-cool!

This one really isn't something you'd build by plans. I do have plans for my marble machine 3 though.

i have a colection of about 469 marbels! and if i have that and i put my marbels in that, it would go on forever!

Whoa... Lol, this reminds me of Pipe Dream by Animusic. XD He should make one to play a full song!
@HakureiRyuu13 жыл бұрын
@Teddy015 it's not perpetual motion, electricity runs the motor that lifts the marbles. if the engine was turned off, the motion would stop, so it's not perpetual. still awesome to watch though. =D
@jbrun00915 жыл бұрын
If I were to do this, I'd make it play a song. Cool video

yes there is i have one in my basement. my sister invented it when she was 14. Now we don't need to pay our electricity bills because the machine does all the work

Its like society and we are the marbles in a complicated system where we just keep moving forward and forward until we have fufilled our role in the great machine.

That's a good joke As soon as someone discovers "free energy" they're going to slap a price tag on it.

Because you would not pay $2000 for it. Sorry, but nobody factors in how much time it takes.

@matthiaswandel13 жыл бұрын
A lot, and making it again and again is no fun. I quoted somebody $2500 to build another copy of marble machine 2 once. Problem is, the guy was actually willing to pay that much. When I looked at all the other things I was already working on, I realized even at that price, I couldn't do it.
@theLemblem15 жыл бұрын
i am shocked it reloads itself awesome!
@Hypastpist12 жыл бұрын
is this considered perpetual motion if we leave it alone forever?

You built this? Very cool.
@matthiaswandel14 жыл бұрын
Well, start by finding an very skilled craftsman who is willing to work for $5 per hour.
@virgo11316 жыл бұрын
you discovered perpetual energy!!!!!
@mickjohn1615 жыл бұрын
your getting electricity and energy confused, the wind turbine requires constant energy from the wind to generate electricity. So it is not free energy, free energy is the idea of getting a wheel to spin forever, and to continue spinning under its own power

This was the first ever video I saw on his channel, I was really mesmerized by his woodworking projects as a kid in the late 2000s.

gravity is the most abundant force there is, and it is after all an accelerating force after all (therefore overcoming whatever momentum loss by friction?) also law of conservation of energy in essence pretty much provides the blueprints and proof for any such device to be/could be created someday (we can always dream haha :D ) sorry, im just a dreamer

You should make it so your air-powered wooden motor makes this run, then get a low-energy consumption & low-noise vaccum/air compressor/etc :]

This is very nice. I like the area where the marble bounces down the pieces of wood and makes sounds. I also like the many different areas it has. 5 stars from me.
@coondogtheman17 жыл бұрын
this contraption reminds me of that ball run maching that logan airport in boston had in the lobby and the balls would run on tracks and they would hit different plates and stuff and it made different sounds, does anyone know what that thing is called i saw one on the old show Mr. roger's neighborhood on PBS

that's it! this is not made in china, where they can do 1000 games like this per hour :)) The only way to make money is to sell the project (materials, mesures, etc,) ;) I invented a wood musical instrument myself (look here in PARAFUSOFONE) but the work and time envolved doesent pay off...
@FokkerBoombass15 жыл бұрын
Nope, as you can see on the ending, some sort of motor is powering it.
