I use the dolly forward and backwards with the subject centered & balanced on a wide lens all the time! It's my love for Wes Anderson that drives that one!

WE have been trying the gimbal ' dolly in and dolly out' and slide ways shots too often and love them in the videos. We don't often use the rotate shots too often. We love Matti and Peter

My favorite gimbal-move is a tilt-down into a dolly-in. (usually starting at the sky, going down and than dollying in to the face of a character). Pretty much allways works for me.

I’ve actually tried a few of the shots you mention in this video and they worked very well for me. I will try some of the other and appreciate the helpful video for us beginners using a gimbal.

Ya man... I got the long arm and it helps. You need to play with the motor for the shots. When you flip the camera it almost feels like it's taking a load of the one motor and all on to the other. So depending on the weight of the camera you need to adjust for certain shots

Awesome vid Matti! I use to have the original glide cam that was first released. Actually it was the prototype! Miss that thing. An old glide cam is still effective comparably to the Zhiyuns

Matti, love your videos-they’ve helped me grow so much this year as a videographer. Do you have any tips on how you travel with your gimbal? Do you just throw them in their respective cases? Or is there an easy way to pack them without having to unbalance the arms?
