Amazing job once again. I am a color LOVER, and Ive come to realize that every color can be used to create something beautiful. I Love the colors of the street lights against the pavement, and windows. And the different shades of blueish grey, and purple grey on the closest building, and the shaded pavement is a wonderful choice. Great Job! Love the proportions. ;)

Btw how do you choose your colors?
@ranipermatasari45356 жыл бұрын
Yeahh i think that way too... how it end very compatible 😂
@mattjabbar6 жыл бұрын
I think it's mostly experience. I painted a lot of cityscapes and landscapes in general so I more-or-less know what to do almost instinctively now. It's easier with the “Tokyo at Night” series also because I'm using my own reference photos too.

I bought a print of this painting last year and unhooked it from my wall as I watched this video again. I must say that unfortunately, the print is much darker than the original and most of the details in the foreground you had so much fun to paint almost desapeared. Overall, colors are less vibrant and greyish but guess what ? I still love this piece so much !

Wow, this is really cool, Matt! I love the way you draw buildings and architecture! Do you have any tips for drawing buildings and architecture?
@mattjabbar6 жыл бұрын
Just studying the shapes of things really helps! Getting the thickness, size of elements helps a lot to get the picture to look more realistic!

@@mattjabbar Oh okay! Thanks for the advice :D Also, if you would not mind another question, how do you find inspiration to draw? For a long time now, I've been able to draw but I don't really know what do draw. And I do draw pieces for school, but I want to draw for my interest more, and I'd like to be more satisfied and fulfilled by my art. Do you have any advice for finding inspiration?

I always amazed of youuuu 😭💗💗 anyway, how do you take care of your tools? Like to keep the thinness of your brush
@mattjabbar6 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't do much to keep my tools working. Just wash them with water after use and dry horizontally.

Mateusz, I don't usually comment on videos I watch. However, you have quickly become somebody I admire because of your talent and earnest effort to share your passion with everyone. I always look forward to your videos. I hope you receive the acclaim you deserve. I also wanted to ask a question: have you considered making monochrome/limited palette paintings?

How do you learn to choose these colors? Your color combinations are always so wonderful! 😮😮😮

Have you tried QoR watercolours? Are Schminke as intensive in colour as those? Also, why do you like Schminke more than Holbein? I'm torn between buying a set of the two.
@mattjabbar6 жыл бұрын
I use both Schmincke and Holbein. They are the major brands here in Japan so it's a natural choice. I did not try QoR yet because they are not easy to obtain here.

Can I ask? How do u do that line without smudging your paint while coloring it with watercolor? I draw before and use a gel pen. It created smudges when I painted my drawing and the black ink are everywhere :( please help... ^^ ty

You have to use a waterproof pen. Have a look at the tools I use I explain thigs like this there: On my website mateuszurbanowicz.com in the TOOLS and FAQ section mateuszurbanowicz.com/tools/
