I don't like the fact that you need to close the image in Photoshop just to see the copy appear in Lightroom. I often like just to compare the newly edited images in Lightroom Classic before I close it in Photoshop with my previously edited images. That way if colours or brightness is slightly off I can always go back to Photoshop make the necessary adjustments and re-save it again quickly. This is how it works in the Classic end I prefer it for speed and consistency.

Just tried this Lightroom version for the first time after years of using Bridge/ACR. I like it, but...no solo mode in the panels section and no adaptive beta profile...so will stick to Bridge/ACR.

Hi… It does have solo mode. It’s just called what it should be called… “single panel mode” As for profiles… can’t say I’ve heard anyone say they really like them since they came out. I’m sure they’ll end up in all adobe apps but if you need them now there’s your answer.

@@MattKloskowski Hi Matt. Thanks so much...found the single panel mode via the view menu...I was trying to right click the panel on the right side. Cheers.

how come in LR update when I export to topaz denoise or sharpen and edit it doesn't save back to LR like it did in LRC?
@MattKloskowski21 сағат бұрын
Hi. It does. Maybe contact adobe if it’s not working for you.

geat new feature and tuto. Can you please explain, when you use lightroom, how you digest your sony A1 sd card on win computer with some basic folder naming (ie: 2024-12-13_birthday party) ? With LRC it is very convenient. Using bridge just to do that is time consuming. photo mechanic is time consuming. Sony software ? Also browsing in win explorer the SD card DCIM folder to copy paste all raw into a folder we rename later... is tedious. So, at final, i still use LRC for importing and exporting/printing (print possible in LR ?) and so, keep editing inside LRC so can't switch to LR.

Hi Marc. I plug a card reader in to my computer and copy the photos to a folder. Not sure how to make it more complicated than that, and not sure what other features I would need. Personally I've found LRC for this, anything BUT convenient :-) Thanks.

Hi Matt, can't you use the keyboard shortcut that we use in LR Classic to move back to LR from PS? Ctrl+S+W? Thanks for the video1
@MattKloskowski22 сағат бұрын
Hi. I didn't even know that existed. I move back and forth between programs with the operating system shortcut (Alt + Tab or Cmd + Tab on mac). It's ingrained in my fingers that they don't even think about it :-)

That smart object that was returned to Lightroom did it come back as a TIFF file?
@MattKloskowski22 сағат бұрын
Yes, it has to. Just like LRC, you can't edit and re-save a raw file. It must be saved as something else.

I'm disappointed that LrC still hasn't been given the new ACR updates, especially the Denoise function NOT creating a separate DNG file.
@MattKloskowski20 сағат бұрын
Hi. Remember the ACR updates you're speaking of, aren't "updates". They're "technology previews" which basically means beta - and if it's not made it out of beta yet, you probably don't want it included in Lightroom primetime. If Adobe released it, and it caused crashes, people would be upset too right?
