As a lifelong Jets fan, no matter how bad this team has been in any facet, I never saw myself not being a Jets fan. This season was so awful in every way from players, coaches, the owner etc, that after the loss to the cardinals I officially lost any love for the Jets. It's an empty feeling mixed with joy knowing I can root for a team that has what it takes and actually wants to win. I just couldn't with them anymore and this just further solidifies that.

As a fan who has gone from watching daily you, BJF,Jake, Boy green etc... I too have really kinda quit too. I think Reed, imho, was JD's best acquisition while a Jet. The dysfunctional state of this team just sucks for everyone. The fans, the players, the coaches just all around. Been a fan for 28 years, still a fan but just not super amped up about how this team is crapping the bed and has been now for some time this season. And I am just a fan... for me seeing it week in and week out from afar is not good times... can't imagine what it would be like to be in the bldg and the meetings and the weigh ins and , and, and to have this result. DJ reed is a undersized Corner who is a penalty machine. Look at the tape the opponents are constantly throwing at him. Echols to me plays better when he is in the game. The jets main problem is that they only have one legit defense lineman and that's Quinnen williams. We gotta beef up the interior lineman, mason graham has to be our draft priority.

I’ve loved Sam Darnold since the Jets drafted him, but knew he was doomed with the lack of quality coaching and hardly any talent surrounding him. Knew he’d ball out given the right circumstances, and look at him now. I’m rooting for Sam and the Vikes to go all the way. And as a lowly Jets fan, man am I jealous. Look at these teams that build talent the correct way, and then Jets “dregs” go there and find success. It’s agonizing.

getting rid of the stench is going to be getting rid of mid to high end starters. DJ is going to be the first of many players asking for out. I don't think you can have a good culture by keeping players like GW hostage either. Fans don't want a nuclear rebuild but it is the only way with a more realistic lens. They need to start from the ground up correctly, no shortcuts, and follow through with a 2-3 year plan. They need to eat all of the dead cap next year and go for the playoffs in 2026 with a young core.
