As with others, Ottawa is my home away from home and I've spent more time there than anywhere else in Canada. Loved the last shot with The Brig Pub, my favourite spot to hit after dinner at Play Food & Wine. Also recommend The Koven in the Market as well as Sconewitch in centretown...oh and of course the schawarma. Best I've had outside of Lebanon.

Oddball question - do you have any recommendation for hotel to stay besides the Fairmont in Ottawa? Looking to book a small trip to Ottawa in a good location downtown.

@@curtis4982 Highly recommend the Lord Elgin which has a Nando's on the corner, two great coffee shops very close and one of my favorite breakfast spots (Sconewitch) just a short block away. The Metcalfe OR the Sonder Rideau are also excellent choices for just a little less but honestly, the Lord Elgin is already nearly half off the cost of the Chateau Laurier. LMK if you need any more reccs. I love this city!
