Sitting stuck on the trail side for two days waiting for a recovery tow company not to turn up.... Phone Matt and he drags his wife across the state and they get the job done. What a great family run company is all about, service with the bonus of a smile and and tee-shirt.

Something for Jay and Jerry to think about... Being sued for "damage's" then how many dang times the dipsticks you unstick do stupid s### then damage your recovery stuff AKA running over rope/straps then wrap it around their tire and rip off stuff on their vehicle. Plus damage your vehicle / run into back of your vehicle. Most of my recovery stuff having to be replaced is due to dipsticks driving over it and wrapping on tire skidding tire on it over rocks and pavement. Then the Dumbass's running into the back of my vehicle (s)

Good to see a company not belittle someone for inexperience. If I couldn’t have gotten myself out of the first two experiences I would still be there 40 years later. Growing up in a small town and on a farm prepared me for a lot of sticky situations. To bad that more people can’t have the same positive experience.

I've been watching this channel for a long time and never made a single comment because I just love the action. One thing I've always respected is the fact that Matt and the Team have never been negative or disrespectful to their clients no matter the situation and I will continue that but the rental van recovery has to be the easiest recovery you-all have been on. I know Ice can be a Bugger. I do live in Michigan so I know. The lady is appreciative and thats all that matters but thats just a normal day getting out of the drive way in the great white north :) Now I"m going to mention the Honda AWD - great cars but if you go into BFE get some real tires; city slicks won't cut it! Love Ya all and keep the videos coming.

Thank you Matt and Jamie. It makes me feel good knowing that people like you still exist. I’m not surprised that there were many people nearby, but no one helped this person. In many cases it’s not because they don’t want to help, but they don’t have any of the necessary equipment or experience to help. I don’t get stuck often, but when I do, I have all the necessary equipment for someone with a capable vehicle to help me. And if I’m able to help others, I always do. It’s a great feeling to help others in a time of need. Again, thank you for the services you provide. I could have driven to that location in less than two days, and I’m in Arizona. It’s hard to understand why others closer in the area couldn’t help. But I’m sure glad you were willing and able to do so.

Seeing that van stuck on level ground took me back to high school. I lived in rural SE Indiana and the student parking lot didn't get plowed when it snowed. In the 80s most kids were driving RWD cars. Some of the country kids had 4x4 trucks. But until the snow melted we were always pushing each other out. I was one the few that had a FWD car and I never got stuck. So I was usually the last car to leave because I helped push almost everyone else out!
@xToddmcx
@xToddmcx 3 жыл бұрын
You know what's even better on snow and ice than 4x4, can be used on any vehicle and is only about $150? Tire chains! They're also very effective in mud. Such as we see under the snow in this video...
@AeroGuy07
@AeroGuy07 3 жыл бұрын
@@xToddmcxYes, I know chains work very well. But they aren't legal to use on the road everywhere. Plus the roads were clear, it was only the student parking lot that wasn't cleared. No one was going to chain up to drive 100 yards when 3 or 4 of your friends could easily get you moving with a push.

I’ve been thinking a more standard tow truck. Just pick the front end up and drive out.
@Petriefied0246
@Petriefied0246 3 жыл бұрын
@@philb5593 either would work. AA recovery vans in the UK have a dolly folded up in the back that they can deploy as necessary. I asked the question because I thought it might be easier to recover them with a lighter towing mechanism and a dolly would be dragged out rather than the recovery vehicle having to lift the front of the towed vehicle.

Pretty impressive a that you travel such distances to help people out. That's customer service and what builds the type of success that you have. Good job Matt and crew.

For icy conditions best to have a 5 or 10lb sack of kitty litter on hand in the trunk. works great for traction, especially in parking lot exits being blocked by others. Sprinkle the kitty litter on the ice and they are on their way.

Good point. (Sometimes what looks like it'll make a "Real Purty Picture" does not offer a real fine medical outcome, for the camera wielder. Matt is {usually} more on-the-ball about safety. {In fact, it's his knee-jerk reaction to Health Hazards that makes him the biggest noise in the MORR Shop.} Pity he keeps Thinking that he's Heat Resistant, after something gets welded up - the aftereffect of Paul Cox's "Love Tap" up in Parowan, no doubt.)

A tip to make loading vehicles on your trailer easier. Get a set of drive on ramps. place at the back wheels of the vehicle you are driving. Back up onto them. this will throw the back of your trailer closer to the ground. Making it less of an angle there for easier loading

That is also one of the things that make this channel so unique, it is the attitude. Whether it is a plane, a bus or a very remote place - It seems that there is no ‚no‘. The only and simple answer is „we‘ll get ‘em out“.

In case anyone is stuck like this in that area, calling Southern Nevada Off Road Recovery is probably a better bet than any of the tow companies out here in Vegas. Good on you Matt and Jamie for going and getting those folks.
