I have to agree. Well.. he's definitely surrounded himself with some great people that like to laugh and smile and when you're always helping people out it has to make you feel good. I mean I know he gets paid for it but I can see in his eyes if he didn't have a family to feed or bills he'd do it anyway. I think 🤔. It's really fun and it feels good being the hero of your own story you know pulling people out, getting them unstuck, saving the day. I'd be one hell of a happy guy too! After watching Matt's recoveries for a long while now. There are things to be taken from this. 1) Do not buy or Rent a Razor 2) Changing sands is you Enemy. 3) Driving 2wd vehicles in a 4wd area is a No No, unless it is a Rental and you want to impress your passenger. 4) No matter what 4x4 experience you have , think again. 5) Do not get tired of checking the tyre pressure. Lastly and the most importent one. 6) Get stuck and "Make a call" and get the T shirt.

I could be wrong, but looking at the doors and windows, none of those are armored. The windows roll down, and armored windows, if they move at all, only go a few inches. In 1980 to 1984 we were all in to fast cars until we went four wheeling with a friend that was a little older, we were 18. That's all it took and we were hooked! I live in Missouri so the only time I ever got stuck in the sand was along the Missouri river when the river was low there were sandbars everywhere. We didn't have the hubs locked in on my new F 250 with a 460 in it, 4" lift with 35" BFG Mud Terrains 4:10.1 limited slips. We just stopped to drink some beer and when I went to take off the back tires sunk instantly. Figured no problem we'll just lock in the front and go. Put it back in gear and the front sunk! We dug out the sand under the truck and about a 10' road and drove out. We had mostly mud and trails here. We hung out a lot in a few abandoned quarry's and there were usually 20 plus trucks of every size. I don't remember ever calling anyone to rescue us because we were usually in a group. We all pretty much had good jobs and capable trucks. We all had the 4: snatch n straps as soon as we knew about them. To this day I dont think I have used a chain...

I hope the SxS rental companies go after the renter for all the damage to the machine, towing etc.

@@WeBleedGreen1 Maybe it's different in Utah but in Texas there is no insurance company that would accept this kind of business as a liability. Most businesses like this have the renters sign a contractual agreement to pay for damages and also make them have credit cards on file that must add up to a certain credit limit normally around $6000. It's not profitable for an insurance company to insure a business like this.

I rented one in northern Utah and someone in our group tipped it over. They inspected it after and charged for the amount of the damage. Around $500 for minor fender damage. No insurance involved.

@@xfiringsquadx how is it realistically any different than what it’s like renting a car? you check the little box that covers any damages or repairs.

@@xfiringsquadx we rented one in park city, drifted it into a tree, ripped the right rear everything off, called the rental company and they said yall good, well get it.. that's all we heard

This video answered a lot of my questions about these wrecked side by sides. Most of them are rentals and people do not treat them the same way as if they bought the vehicle. Plus not knowing the terrain will get the riders in trouble.

Have you tried polarized sunglasses to see elevation changes? Helps me in snow so thinking might help with sand glare?

It is not glare that is the problem, it is the lack of shadows that is the problem.
