How Matt so naturally makes others feel good about themselves is remarkable. Never a negative comment about anyone. A trait more of us should learn. That's why I watch this channel.

I have to agree. Well.. he's definitely surrounded himself with some great people that like to laugh and smile and when you're always helping people out it has to make you feel good. I mean I know he gets paid for it but I can see in his eyes if he didn't have a family to feed or bills he'd do it anyway. I think 🤔. It's really fun and it feels good being the hero of your own story you know pulling people out, getting them unstuck, saving the day. I'd be one hell of a happy guy too! Let's not forget the most important thing...... HIS FAMILY!!!

After watching Matt's recoveries for a long while now. There are things to be taken from this. 1) Do not buy or Rent a Razor 2) Changing sands is you Enemy. 3) Driving 2wd vehicles in a 4wd area is a No No, unless it is a Rental and you want to impress your passenger. 4) No matter what 4x4 experience you have , think again. 5) Do not get tired of checking the tyre pressure. Lastly and the most importent one. 6) Get stuck and "Make a call" and get the T shirt.

@@leolego2 Yeah but they don't need armour, that one still has at least the amour glass so each of those windows weighs 60 plus pounds. The floor armour will still be there well (too hard to remove so there's nearly a half ton. I'd assume the ceramic has been removed from the doors.
@logankolby13
@logankolby13 4 жыл бұрын
I could be wrong, but looking at the doors and windows, none of those are armored. The windows roll down, and armored windows, if they move at all, only go a few inches. Plus those windows did not have any of the distortion you typically see in armored glass. Those doors are stock. Those door latches wouldn't handle the 300lb doors. The vehicle is heavy but that's from gear, not armor.

Matt's yellow banana gave me the idea how to attach the electric winch for my two vehicles...no permanent fit but put it in just when needed. Saves that thing from the bad atmosferic elements we have here in Finland - like salted roads in the winter. And easy to attach to my secondary off roader.

I liked the comment from the guy about a jeep getting the truck unstuck. It is surprising sometimes what a 4 wheel drive vehicle can pull with good traction. We were able to get a 20K lb motorhome unstuck from the sand with a little Jeep Cherokee.

@markburkhalter41
@markburkhalter41 4 жыл бұрын
He’s talked about this before I think the problem is not so much that the sun glares off the sand but more that when the sun is directly overhead you can’t see the shadows in the topography of the dune. You don’t see where the crest is and such. Correct me if I’m wrong though

In 1980 to 1984 we were all in to fast cars until we went four wheeling with a friend that was a little older, we were 18. That's all it took and we were hooked! I live in Missouri so the only time I ever got stuck in the sand was along the Missouri river when the river was low there were sandbars everywhere. We didn't have the hubs locked in on my new F 250 with a 460 in it, 4" lift with 35" BFG Mud Terrains 4:10.1 limited slips. We just stopped to drink some beer and when I went to take off the back tires sunk instantly. Figured no problem we'll just lock in the front and go. Put it back in gear and the front sunk! We dug out the sand under the truck and about a 10' road and drove out. We had mostly mud and trails here. We hung out a lot in a few abandoned quarry's and there were usually 20 plus trucks of every size. I don't remember ever calling anyone to rescue us because we were usually in a group. We all pretty much had good jobs and capable trucks. We all had the 4: snatch n straps as soon as we knew about them. To this day I dont think I have used a chain...

@@WeBleedGreen1 Maybe it's different in Utah but in Texas there is no insurance company that would accept this kind of business as a liability. Most businesses like this have the renters sign a contractual agreement to pay for damages and also make them have credit cards on file that must add up to a certain credit limit normally around $6000. It's not profitable for an insurance company to insure a business like this.
