Matt, thanks for always teaching me something. Was fishing a similar current situation. Took way more casts in an area than I normally would have. Not only did persistence pay off, but the later fish were actually the biggest fish of the trip! Thanks again!

glad to help and thats a common scenario for me....just got to make the right cast on them

Hi Matt - Check out the Gamakatsu Tournament Snap * Large size Makes switching out crank baits a breeze- You can switch out one with tandem trebles to one with 2/0 Circle hooks without messing around with split rings or even have one crank with one treble and one 2/0 Circle* Easy to change size of crank or weight or color in one quick snap * Could also be used on Texas Rig Worm or Jerk bait or maybe Top water* If you have any pull with Gamakatsu have them make a larger size maybe XL and XXL - Us Americans have larger hands!!

Thanks for bringing this bait to my attention Matt! I originally had dismissed it as just another lipless, but never knew it was for yo-yoing for walleye! I’ll have to pick some up.

Well, I'm glad you used the tin rig instead of the Skeeter. 😂 You are good at fishing this technique and condition. I would be hung on a regular basis.

That’s a good looking lure. How does the finish hold up on the metallic colors? I like rat-l-traps but hate how easy the chrome and gold ones peel.

Thanks for mentioning the t warehouse sale. I just did what you did. Great deal on the stuff I bought. I literally don't need any more tackle. But as an addict, literally. After it was in my cart for a day and a half, and I kept going back there. And ended up buying it. I do have a problem. Not joke! I mean seriously! I shouldn't have but I can't stop myself. Used your link also

You should think about getting a net that is big enough for musky for the jet boat. And make it the full time net. You’ll probably be glad if you do…and get musky release tools on there too😉
@MattStefanFishingАй бұрын
I know but the big nets don’t fit great in the little boat

Berkley has made a lot of great lures lately. I have to pickup some of the J-Walkers. I lost my last 1. I've never caught a crappie on a walking bait before I got my hands on a 110 bone colored J-Walker. It was fire 🔥 😩

I wonder how many companies actually make lures anymore. I know there is a lot of consolidation. If lure making is anything like the rest of our economy, only a hand full of companies control the production allowing for them to raise prices without the worry of competition.

Yeah nothing is affordable anymore. Paid over $6 for 2 mc donalds cheesburgers yesterday.Remember when they were 69cents.

@@MattStefanFishing thats just what berkley wants everyone to think but it's not true. Whats the profit margin on a lure that was mass produced ? 80- 90% they can lower the price and still profit. You have to say what your sponsor tells you and thats ok but people know whats up.
