Majorly talented. Love the channel. Quick question: Is that a pedophile symbol though?

Thank you! I’ve gotten this question a ton on this video, it’s not in any way or form associated with anything you’re mentioning. No relation to pedophilia or the symbol at all. It’s my clients companies logo, it’s and “E” and a “V” combined together, that’s all.

Hey Matt, great build, man! Love it. Had a couple questions for ya if you don’t mind… What does a table of this caliber cost? How many hours did you personally have into all your labor? And, regarding the chargers… Do you know if those would work if they were installed under epoxy? Basically just putting epoxy over the racetrack .. Appreciate any feedback! Thanks!

I have some constructive criticism if you can handle it. I love the build but there is one thing I would hate to have if that were mine. The center of the table should always be the same height as the outside of the inner ring. That little lip makes it easier for cards to accidentally be seen to other players if they hit it right. Also the wood makes it harder to pick up the cards and the felt being higher makes it so you can’t just slide your cards to the dealers. You have to pick them up and we all know what a pain cards are to pick up off a hard flat floor. The whole point of the felt is to be spongy enough to get your fingers under the cards. It’s not just for show.

Beautiful job. The client may consider changing his logo. It looks a bit too close to CIA-documented symbolism for “young boy lover”, and is frequently used in child sex trafficking and satanic ritual abuse by elitist that are in to that stuff :( look it up. Ben Swann talks about it in his PizzaGate video he did in 2018. Again, CIA- documented. I LOVE the build and your craftsmanship, and don’t want to be “that guy”, but I’m sorry brother, I can’t look passed that and not say something. This is nearly the same logo that Comet Pizza had before pizzagate broke out. They then changed their logo. Pizzagate was blacklisted from all media, and Ben Swann was silenced and taken off the air entirely for nearly a year after his syndicate video, which highlighted all the symbolism.

@aptaylor75
@aptaylor75 2 жыл бұрын
This is beautiful. No doubt. High quality build. But if this is intended for frequent use in a home poker game, the design is all wrong. First, that wonderfully grained wood is going to get worn and scratched to hell by constant chip moving wear and tear. Second, since most poker players these days are in the habit of constantly shuffling their chips at the table, there will be excessive amount of table noise. But then, having a wooden surface would make chip shuffling with one hand a lot harder and would likely piss off anyone trying to play on this table. The client should have opted for a completely speed felt top. Also it's odd to shell out this much on a custom job and not put in a belly cut for the dealer and a card shuffler.

goddamn that's a sexy table, but that dude can afford a whole Casino, because he lives in a freakin Castle, so it's "just a table"... Still, I myself would love to have such an amazing thing at my home, was even thinking of trying a project like this, but I would make a coin cupboard on dealer's side and that chip box would instead not be there to reserve space for dealer's cards/hands (especially for casino games). As well - I'd add scanner (to log game history, possibly a small arduino/rasbery pi pc built in with a simple app and a tiny ssd card), card shoe & holder

Really really good craftmanship, but poker "playwise" this type of table, is just not any good. The wooden outer ring on the playing surface, makes it a nightmare, to look at your cards, when needed. You will want the playing surface, to stretch all the way under the rail, so you have foam everywhere, and no edges. Just a heads up, to any builders. And put the cupholders, in the rail, with wooden rings embedded, underneath the vinyl, cup holders, on the playing surface, is another bad design. This build looks good, but plays really bad.

@@MattsWoodworks Hey Matt, As per one of the comments below. If you had to move it into the basement or different room, fitting it through doorways will be quite tough. And carrying that weight down stairs ,hmmmm i wouldn't want to do it haha. Being able to disassemble the base would make it easier to move and lighter to carry. Some good detailing on the edges and thought into the assembley could make this quicker and easier to build, and open it up to more customer orders . But without knowing the brief, they could have asked for it to be purpose built for that room and never move it. My 2 cents anyway. It still the best table I have seen being built on youtube. I would defiantly use some of your techniques if I ever get the chance to design and build my own one day.

38k plywood table? Lucy some pp have no idea of what the difference is. If that is 38k mine should be double that.🤷. There's a guy out there who makes these harry potter type tables all of wood and magnets and brass with hidden doors that you need to scratch your balls while upside down in 10000 meter deep water to find how the drawers and doors work. I guess he should get 1 mil for his builds. I congratulate you, it looks very nice and you lucky to find someone willing to pay that much for some metal and plywood 😵👍

A lot of basic design mistakes. First your racetrack should be level to your felt. If not the felt should only be slightly raised, 1/32. You have seat 1 and 9 having only half a rail. I can’t believe with such a large base you decided to hide the cables in the wood, technology goes bad and needs to be replaced.

Thank you! I made sure to use extra hardware support through the steel into the wood, I figured people would use them as a resting point (hoping they won’t but know it’ll happen haha). Also, I counted on all of the chargers potential failing at some point, so I made the top so it can be totally broken down and serviced. It’s all sandwiched with threaded inserts and bolts. 🤘🏻

Not to knock the person that bought this but how rich do you have to be to spend 40K on a present for someone without them knowing. That's a decent single person yearly salary in most of the country.

Cool table and all, but installing phone chargers on a poker table seems like a silly idea. Having people with their phones out during a game kind of flattens the mood.

At first I was thinking, why on earth would you add all that weight and cost of doing the metal base, but that gloss paint is awesome. Nice work

Matt... No doubt the table is over the top. Truly a piece of art. And judging by the house of the dude you built it for, i'd assume it has a going price of $2500-$3000 dollars. Hope you know enough doctors, lawyers and CEO's that love poker. Now for your next project, lets see a what a $500-1000 table looks like for the rest of us shmucks.

Thank you for coming over! They actually aren’t custom, they’re brass cup holders and the chip tray is steel, I had them powder coated black.
