Y'all ppl gotta stop worrying about bct, really, I was like that too, when u get there u are literally going to be told how to do ANYTHING...you just gotta listen, also the only way to fail bct is quitting, I was 235lb when I went to bct, came out at 180lbs, sooo yall just gotta always try, it is worth it when that family day comes

I’m not too worried about my weight, I’m more worried about my strength. Were you in shape when you went in? Or not at all? I can only do like 20-30 push ups without stopping, and can’t run very much at the moment, but I am working on it, so please answer this question

Anemone Spotted I will say this, my first PT test I got this 0 push ups 7 sit ups 1 mile in 9:54 My score was also affected by the day before "first day" and u know I was incredibly sore and that affected my score My last bct PT test I got 38 push ups 59 sit ups 2 miles in 15:24 You just gotta push yourself, also don't worry about getting better, you will lol...as long as you want to get better, sorry for taking that long to reply you might be at basic already lol but idk KZbin doesn't notify me about this stuff

My goal in basic training is to get a 300. I want to get at least 80 push ups and 80 sit ups. I want to be able to get under 13 minutes and I am not the best runner. I am pushing myself right now and will get there. I want to be the best soldier I can be. I will push myself to my limit

I honestly wouldn't worry too much about BCT. A lot of it is overhyped, and really isn't that bad once you get your boots wet, so to speak. The biggest obstacle in the military is your own mindset. You must have a "Can Do" attitude. Without it, doubt creeps in, and when you start doubting yourself or the mission, that's when failures occur
@rasengan7716 жыл бұрын

As a former student at Texas A&M where I was a member of the Corps of Cadets, their uniforms are still the same, today, as they were in those wars, I like the army green uniforms that were actually developed during World War I and refined during World War 2 and the Korean conflicts. The blue uniforms are great as ceremonial events.

Question, well, 3 Questions. 1. If you have allergies from pollen, can you take your medicine at BT? 2. I have eczema on my Right/Main Hand, and I use Lotion to ease the dryness and keep it from inching. Will I be able to use Lotion at BT? 3. My Mom is extremely allergic to Bee Stings, bad enough to where she has the needles in her purse just in case she gets stung. I on the other hand, have no idea if I'm Allergic for I've never been stung before, does this matter when joining the Army?
@mittens65566 жыл бұрын
*Answering two weeks after you asked* All of that matters and could prevent you from being able to join. Pollen allergies are not a terribly big deal, but you'll have to disclose that sort of thing to your recruiter and MEPS if you've ever been diagnosed by a doctor or taken a prescription for it. You can take medicine at basic training, but you will have to ask your drill instructor for it every time you want it and will not be allowed to hold onto it yourself. Allergies that are controlled by oral medication should not stop you from joining. Eczema is a disqualifying condition, but you can get a waiver for almost anything in the military. Once again, you'll have to disclose it and submit any medical paperwork that you have on it, but it shouldn't be a big deal, and the military is slowing starting to expand its acceptance of applicants with eczema. Bee allergies matter quite a lot actually and are disqualifying, but if you've never been diagnosed, then you don't have it as far as MEPs is concerned. I wouldn't bring it up unless you want them to look into it very carefully. That being said, you should probably get an allergy test, because you have a family history, and a bee sting could kill you if you're really allergic.

What can I do to get my body right for the two mile pft in basics and on a further extent the five mile ranger pft?
