Hello!! My Name is chef Deena from the popular Adupangarai show in Jaya TV Viewers must have seen me in Zee Tamil shows as well. My Culinary journey as a trainee to become an Executive Chef is incredible. My experience in the culinary field is for more than fifteen years and my USP is Indian cooking !! My sister in law is arriving her delivery date and asking for this receipe from me for a long time. Today I'm gonna try this out for her after came out of watching so many other videos. When Krishnan sir spoke, I felt like my father coz he is also a great cook who worked in Thanjavur Kamakshi Amman Temple for 20 plus years now retired. Still we can feel the taste of all his veg recipes as a mouth watering one. This pulikaaichal also looks like how my dad does. Once I made it I will definitely give a comment on that... I am from karnataka. Here we make puliogare with powder. And TN mostly using gojju. Whatever be , the puliogare prasadam is king of all temple recipes. Actually deena earlier in meenakshi temple some 15 years back someother ppl was on the contract to do puliyodarai that's been superb! Now also they do this but the taste of that was simply out of that mind! If possible find that person and put up a video pls...

Yes crct..i remember 13 years ago tasting the puliyodharai in meenakshi temple..it was dark coloured and super spicy. Its taste was unlike anywhere else

RECIPIE: Measurement for 1/2 kg rice (2 1/2-2 3/4 cups) 1)Dry roast Pepper(1 tsp)+fenugreek(1 tsp)+ coriander seeds(1 tbsp)+black sesame(2tsp)& grind into a powder 2)Fry red chillis(100g)in oil and grind coarsely & keep aside 3)Prepare the tempering by frying mustard &urad dal( 1 tsp)+ chana dal(1 tbsp)+curry leaves in oil and keep aside 4)Boil soaked tamarind(100g) water + 1 tsp turmeric until it thickens.Add the tempering.After 1 boil , add the grinded powder and grinded red chillis ,hing(1/2 tsp) and cook until oil separates. 5)spread the rice .add sesame oil,curry leaves,peanuts & the prepared paste and mix

Thank you so much, chef Dheena avargale🙏🏼 I have born and grew up in Madurai, I go to Meenakshi amman temple especially for puliodarai and sakkarai pongal. In 90s, we use to play hide and seek inside temple and when got hungry, we run to prasadam counter for puliodarai. Got to see this awesome recipe. Felt blissful and nostalgic. Requested my wife to do the same way and came out almost to near taste. Thanks a heap to Krishnan sir 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
