Personally I would wear exactly what she's wearing while she's talking, but with some well-made wide leg pants instead of jeans. They can be black, white, pastel, crazy print, whatever.

Yeah swapping jeans for wide leg pants dresses it up a bit and still looks really cool but quite a few people in the UK 🇬🇧 still push the super formal wedding tradition.. the kind where most guests wear fascinators 🙄 ... and other ridiculous hats. The band tee isn’t acceptable there sadly 😞

Love this video. The identity crisis is real. I am 31 and working in an office and a mum. Let me tell you I get some funny looks on the school run haha. But then you see someone else who actually stops you in the street to tell you you are badass and the rest of the day you walk on clouds (in Docs, of course)

YES! This exactly what I needed to see. My corporate office has recently changed it's dress policy to allow more casual and I am living for being able to express my 'alternative' style a bit more in a place I spend the majority of my life. Love this!

I'm 40 in Dec and I dress the way I wanna dress I've always been a bit alternative, I love the 70s and 50s and I love jeans and a t shirt or a pretty floral summer dress I can also dress up very glam for a special occasion. Love this & deffo needed for me. I’m a veterinary nurse so spend most of my time in scrubs so when it comes to actually being able to wear clothes I still wear band tees, skinnies & vans like the 15 year old scene kid that I still am at heart (I’m 26 this year 🙈) thank you x

I loved this video! I often struggle with looking myself at my social service job. I am about to graduate with my bachelor's in Psych and then I am going to get my Ph.D in Clinical Psych. I recently had to dye my lavender hair back to my natural brown because of wanting to be taken more seriously. It totally sucks that I cannot have my purple hair anymore but I think it is even more fun to go shopping and wear more colors. I also am heavily tattooed and that can never be taken away from me! I also love wear the chunky rings and cheetah print most days. Whenever I am wanting to feel a bit more sassy, I will wear my platform chunky disco boots from Dollskill. They are pretty slick but all black so they can pass as professional.

You're so pretty! I'm 28 and have a toddler and I feel like I'm struggling to do the same with maturing my style. I wear a lot of solid colors and simple patterns now but keep it in a dark moody color palette. I try not to wear graphic tees or overly ripped jeans anymore.

"Oh, that's something a teenager would wear" or "This looks like something i would wear when I was 20 years old". Proper nostalgia when you spoke about animal print, I had a pair of skin tight blue and black leaped print jeans that I wore all the time with a MCR or batman T-shirt and a skull bandana in my hair when i was 12. I also remember using mascara to put streaks of black in my hair 😭 oh god and the big belt, I had a Rolling Stones tongue buckle and constant marks on my stomach but fashion was worth it right?!😭 I loved this, amazing filming at the start and the hair is so gorgeous!! In that outfit I was getting proper Grease sandy vibes! You give really good advice on maturing alternative style, really useful thank you xoxoxo
