Hello and welcome back Disney fans. We have another exciting video for you today. Moana is the story about a young woman who must leave her island in an attempt to find the demi-god Maui and return the Heart of Te Fiti. This is the only way she is able to save her land and possibly the world from the doom and decay being spread by Te Ka. In today’s video we are going to be discussing 10 theories about Disney’s Moana that will make your jaw drop. Theory 4 ( Maui and Moana being related) actually has a chance of being true when you combine it with theory 5 ( Moana being the third chosen one). If tala was the chosen one first and actually found maui, but fell in love or conceived a child after meeting him and then didn’t want to complete the mission because it was too dangerous. This could also explain why she knew where to find maui, what to say once Moana found him, and the whole legend in the first place.

Lilo can't be related to Moana. Lilo is from Hawaii and Moana is from Polinesia, that kind of boat was used in the south-east Asia, it's adapted to the seas that separate the Atlantic and Indian

@Solar Carott 8s wife Who had all his powers (save immortality and indestructibility) stripped from him when he lost that hook and literally no means of escape. He didn’t even have palms around to make his own raft or canoe and sail, apparently. The gods left him with food and a cave to shelter in but…that’s it. The only way for this “theory” to hold ANY water at all is if a much younger Tala somehow sailed to Maui or one of her ancestors did (since she knew how to find him). But. You really think Maui would be hanging around that island if he saw Anyone during his 1k yr exile? The first thing he did when he saw Moana was steal her boat!

Tbh i think she left him behind to keep him safe because of what happened the first time, like maybe Pua just didn't trust the ocean after that and mightve chosen to stay out of fear and/or to serve comfort to Moana's parents in her place in case she didn't make it back

Here's something noone considered previously; The boats which were able to make to across the ocean had been blessed by the goddess Te Fiti herself. If you take time to take notice on the details on the sailing boats (Covered in Fish-like pictogram-like images "Runes" along the hull of the boat and in the sails. The spiral symbol which the sail has on it is the exact symbol that her heart has on it. During moana's second trip she had both a blessed boat and the heart of Te Fiti to assist her in her journey.) The boats that failed to cross the reef weren't properly blessed to make the journey by the goddess which why they failed to make it past the reef.

The boats that failed to cross the reef were too shallow (for lack of a better terminology). Size matters when dealing with open ocean waves verses tides relatively tamed by barrier reefs. However I do think the boats were blessed: -they’re still intact and seaworthy after decades if not hundreds of years of storage (wayfinding didn’t immediately stop after Maui’s attempted theft) -the torches self-lighting in response to Moana beating the drum -Moana’s Vision in the cavern

Theory 4 I think it would be more that Moana is possibly Maui's descendent and his 21xGreat Granddaughter (going via the stones on the mountain which is 15, so the first stone was from say the son who became chief after his father who forbid sailing who was say Matai Vasa's great grandson), and that Matai Vasa (the guy in the ancestor song who was her ancestor) was Maui's grandson (look at the nose) via a kid he had. So Tala is Maui's 19xGreat Granddaughter (thus why she knows so much because the story is passed on through the family) and Tui is Maui's 20xGreat Grandson. Also possibly being descended from a demi-god makes them longer lived so they have kids at a older age then normal people but only the last 4 generations do they start to age more normally and have kids at sort of normal ages for normal people.

No, Tala is not 1,000 years old. Her husband's name was Soba, and he died trying to revive voyaging. He visits Tala as a shark.

Source? Because it’s not in the film (and interviews aren’t really canonical.) But. Of course Tala isn’t 1k years old-unless she fostered Moana’s father verses gave birth to him, of course the timeline doesn’t add up.

David is Maui. If you go back and watch Lilo & Stitch, David is wearing a fish hook necklace after the beach scene when stitch is dressed as Elvis and all anarchy has broken out. He even says "Hey, I might not be a doctor, but I know there's no better cure for a sour face than a couple of boards and some choice waves. What you think?" Maui is a wave finder and so are surfers. However that is my theory. 😀 Hope you all like it.

It's funny because most of these are facts and them once they get to the ones about Moana WITH ACTUAL MYTHOLOGY ATTACHED TO IT they just don't know anything and say things what could never happen or are just dumb things that have simple explanations.
