Both games are outstanding in my opinion. I like the monsters in Maul Peak but the Foxens from Skulk Hallow. 🤓

Playing both together is interesting because you play with 2 monsters, both critters, one map. First one to gain a win condition wins (one monster down, one hero down, or one monster goal achieved).

Have you tried playing the 4 player mode with 2 players?

The automated players are not as interesting to play against as real players. It probably would work to have 2 automated players on a 2 player game but I don't see it as adding to the experience, even opening up playing on the larger board. Each automated player is a random choice that you really can't prepare well for or try and psyche out. You may as well play your tokens exposed at that point as it won't have that much impact.

They cover it around 7:40 This is Icy Skulk Hollow. Pick the edition you like most Foxes vs Bears Summer Forest vs Winter Mountain "Titans" vs "Monsters"

I just got maul peak in(own both) and i think they are pretty even. I like the bears a little more than the foxes and the "beginner" monster in maul peak is a little more interesting, but nitpicking.

They are really close. Skulk Hollow is marginally easier (no rage and heroes are simpler).

Have you not tried to combine the sets yet for four player mode?

While my group like this and the first one, we find the guardians win only about 20% of the time. We are all just terrible at them i guess.

I got rid of Skulk Hollow because playing the guardians was an auto-loss (against anyone who knew how to play the Foxen). Didn't back this, but would be interested to see the balance.

At 2 players we found them pretty even, though for natural reasons everyone gets more practice with the foxen/bears so they win more at the start. Playing 2v2 so far feels like it favors the small guys as they have an easier time coordinating and getting synergy, but there are so many monster combos that I'm sure some are better than others.
