Red Bull Sōlus, one of the most mentally and physically challenging contests in skateboarding, is back for a third year. From the mind of Ryan Sheckler, this digital skate competition challenges 17 of the top pros and amateurs to deliver their best continuous line at Sheckler’s private skatepark, the SC Sandlot. Here is Maurio Mccoy’s run.
On June 6-8, each of the competing skaters were given one hour at the SC Sandlot to film their best line - no music, no other skaters, and no knowledge of who else is competing in the competition. They're just stuck with their thoughts, their time limit, and James Craig, this year's official Red Bull Sōlus timekeeper and emcee.
This competition format, combined with the new blood featured in this year’s roster, has resulted in the best Red Bull Sōlus to date.
Maurio McCoy has a skate style as smooth as butter. Seriously, we almost never see his feet land off the bolts (just reference his Red Bull Sōlus entry). Maurio skates for Santa Cruz, Adidas, Ricta, Indpendent, Mob, Bronson, and Kingswell.
Our judges, Vanessa Torres, Mike Sinclair, and Jason Rothmeyer, will evaluate each video based on style, progression and creativity.

I’ve never judged a skate contest but I agree: staying on the board looks better and should get higher scores. Also enjoy using the whole course and doing diverse tricks. Check, check, check!

@@GnarlyCharly That has to DeAnthony Melton since we got a better bench scoring has enough experiences to be a great addition for the 76ers to get enough help from creating floor spacing and a good mindset to contribute from Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey can steal the ball and blocking close to the paint of double team and playing like similar to a Marcus Smart scorer that is just my opinion??!

Funny thing is the only board i skate is Maurios. Its because its the only one my size and is carbon fiber. Im 230lb so i snap regular boards really easily. Takes a lot to snap Maurios Carbon Fiber Santa Cruz. Plus it's a twin tail which i love.Keeps me from razer tailing one side to nothing. Only 2 layers of carbon fiber. It helps tremendously and i Don't feel any difference between all wood.
