I was luckily able to save one of these from destruction after a widow brought one into the gun store that I worked at. Long story short; her daughter called and ranted and raved on the phone that she wanted her father's guns to be turned over to the police and destroyed. Ownership got spooked of legal action and wanted the firearms to be destroyed. We were able to talk her down and accept a receipt saying that the guns were no longer in her Mother's possession.

When disassembling, be aware that there are minuscule springs in these that love to depart to places unknown. Also, if you have paws the size of mine, and use a high grip, hammer bite can be vicious. Still, one of the coolest looking Art Deco style pistols ever made.

Agreed on all accounts. I have already been bit by this thing once and it was wicked

Morning Thomas. Nice piece ! dosen't look to be many problems. After 80 odd years , dirt can get pretty well hardened in, and it only takes one tiny bit. Another deep clean may well sort problems.

I think most of it can be fixed with a couple rounds of cleaning as well, though the trigger spring may need replacing. Not a huge ordeal though, should be relatively cheap. Thanks for watching!

Hello, you pronounced Seidel perfect. 👍, In 1949, together with Edmund Heckler and Theodor Koch, he founded Heckler & Koch GmbH, which later developed into one of the most important German arms companies of the post-war period. Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
