Maverick Strada MT | 4s Conversion

hi guys and welcome back to another video!
So today we take a stock Maverick Strada MT Brushed and turn it into a dirt busting road rocket!
I hope the drivetrain can withstand the added power of the 4s system. I guess we will find out the complete list of parts used is below:
JX 6221MG 20KG Large Torque Digital Standard Servo Metal Geared (BANGGOOD) £10
2230KV Motor (From a forum's For sale section) £12
Team Orion Vortex R8 130a ESC (MODELSPORTUK) £46
Total: £68 for a complete brushless conversion!

Great vid mate, had to adapt my chassis today too. Couldn’t even fit a small 2s in, going to swap the esc too as the gore experience 60 amp is not up to the job 👍

my only criticism with this truck really is the battery compartment its impossible to fit a 3s without modification its so much easier with velcro straps.

It held up fine on 4s but i have since gone back to running primarily 2s and 3s as 4s was just insane 100% of the time and unnecessary!!

Hello i purchased the buggy version a few days ago. I own the 124019 as well and the 124019 (stock) is SO much faster than this maverick (stock) however the build of the strada is miles ahead. Can you please tell me which brushless motor i should buy? Do i also need a new servo and a new esc? It will be for my children so i dont need VERY fast speed runs. I just want it to be faster than stock. Thank you in advance

Any 3650 or 3660 Brushless combo will work fine something like a surpass maybe or depending on budget maybe a hobbywing? Old servo should be good but you will need a brushless ESC if you are running the stock brushed setup :)

Any 540 / 550 Size Brushless motor will work. So basically any 1/10th Scale brushless system! The one i use in this conversion was out of an old redcat RC and i think its discontinued!

@@beyondRC it's just the thought of the lipo charging times after a run but got loads 3s 2200mah from my planes so can run them parallel to make 4400mah.

Thats it just have a few on standby and you should be good to go! I like the fact electric is less maintenance! Grab a pack and go!
