So Today we take out the Maverick Strada MT 4s Conversion which you can see the full build process on the previous video here:

Initial testing was a failure resulting in a stripped spur and minor issues which were put right in the Let's Fix it episode 3:
• Video
So today we see just how things have turned out and i am pleased to say it was a massive success with the upgraded gearing now running 18t pinion over the 12t i previously ran this thing is extremely quick!
I would 100% Recommend anyone who owns the brushed version of this truck to consider doing this as all in it has cost me less than £200 to buy the truck and complete the conversion!

Just finished converting mine to brushless only 2S at the minute, will mostly likely go 3S at a later date but a great car for the money and lots of fun.

I did look at the Quantum Flux before getting the Strada MT. I previously had an FTX Vantage but where I live there wasn’t really anywhere to run it and wanted something a little more beefy with better ground clearance. The Flux was sold out so opted for the MT at a really good price. A few choice upgrades and it’s spot on. TBH I wasn’t aware of the Strada till your vids and feel like I’ve made the right choice. I’m enjoying it and have found your vids really helpful. Keep up the great work man 👍

I have the Maverick Phantom Xt one and I converted it to a brushless using a 60A esc. The spur gear got stripped on the 2nd run using a 2s I guess I didn't correct the Mesh after changing the motor. Also, the Phantom XT have a basic motor mount with no adjustments. I ordered a new nylon spur gear and a HSP metal one as well. Can't wait to see how it will run once I change them.

I have a feeling that's where I went wrong not meshing the gears properly. Thankfully now all okay if I have any more issues I'll have to go hsp metal spur!

Cheers! Its just insane so much torque its uncontrollable at times! Am using a 2230kv 550 brushless motor and 130a esc, 18t pinion, standard spur and drive train! Few issues at first but now sorted and spot on! Would definitely recommend!

Great vid, so glad it was a success. I want to upgrade mine to a brushless 3s (4s will be to much for where I take it) Could you link the parts you used? As I literally have no clue what to buy. You could always get an affiliate link to get some commission too.

JX 6221MG 20KG Large Torque Digital Standard Servo Metal Geared (BANGGOOD) £10 2230KV Motor (From a forum's For sale section) £12 Team Orion Vortex R8 130a ESC (MODELSPORTUK) £46 The motor i was quite lucky with i managed to get it for dirt cheap from someone on msuk-forum for only £12 its a 2230kv i believe by redcat racing but a good few years old now. The esc was only £46 but has now gone up in price sadly but any cheap 120a ESC would do!

Great vid! Just got the Strada MT brushed as well, would like to do the brushless conversion, being new to RC, I can see the parts i need (motor, esc, servo, pinion, etc). Any tips and tricks? Anything to be cautious about or that caught you out besides the removing of the backend for the gear? Keep up the great videos!

Cheers mate glad you enjoyed the vid! You will need those parts you mentioned just be cautious of the battery straps or whatever you decide to use i went for velcro as it was the easier option. Also make sure the gear mesh is set correctly or you will almost certainly strip the plastic spur quite early on like i did. Have meshed it just right now and thankfully no issues. Apart from that i dont think i had any major issues. Best decision i made going brushless on it is a absolute beast now and clocked close to 60mph on stock tyres. With a decent set of on roads really being able to open it up and maybe a slightly bigger pinion i reckon i would see 70mph on 4s!

I don't but I generally feel the motor and its hot but not unbearable. Think I have hit the sweet spot i mean generally this motor is used in 1/8th vehicles this is 1/10 and Is lighter so I don't think its stressing the motor at all.
