Which Drone did you think would win? How much weight did you guess the Mavic 2 Pro could lift?

Great test! 😀 The strength of the FPV quad is impressive. Which prop size and pitch has this been tested with?
@Quadcopterguide4 жыл бұрын
Hey Skyrot, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. It is much appreciated! I was very surprised while filming this one. The fpv quad had 7x3x4 props. I know it could have done more, but I didn't want to risk damaging anything or ourselves. Glad everyone survived :D lol

Hey Ibrahim, thanks for tuning in. Rumors for mavic mini 2 are starting to heat up. Stay tuned for more.

If it does not fold, then they took my idea on weight saving. I suggested a frame similar to the skydio

Nice... Or you could have attached a lever to the table and directly measured the lifting force on the scale... But, your way was fun too :)
@Quadcopterguide4 жыл бұрын
Hey Allen awesome you took the time to watch and comment! Much appreciated! No doubt there could have been a way more scientific way to do all this. This way was a ton of fun ;).

Nice test. But next time try a punch out 😂 Also: how hot were those motors in the end? Really hot I would assume.
@Quadcopterguide4 жыл бұрын
haha hey Felipe, thanks for tuning in dude. I knew I was stressing the components enough. No punch out needed lol. I did not feel the motors, we were surprised how long everything took and had to get the shots completed :).

That's impressive! And difficult to fly a non-GPS quad with all that weight.

Hey Sunrise, thanks for tuning in again! Appreciate it. It was wild to see how such a large pendulum works out... nuts.

Adding a gps device to a quad is about 20g of weight for the device and wires. It's literally nothing

Haha, hey ARD :). Thanks for tuning in friend. Definitely an unexpected result with a few of those tests. Did you get your Mavic in the Air?
@izoyt4 жыл бұрын
unlocked m2p could do a bit more (unlocked it can fly around 90kmh or so) , fpv motors are much stronger/faster, any way (that's why battery last one third of mavic, i would say). but still, it was very interesting, didn't expect fpv would lift that much. but it could be bad news for new eu regulations with that impact force limitation and all that. you're actually showing, how much impact fpv could do at full throttle.
@Quadcopterguide4 жыл бұрын
hey izoyt, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. It is much appreciated! Where can you unlock your M2? This FPV quad is pretty much on the high end of the power spectrum. I doubt the average person will build something like this.. who knows..
@izoyt4 жыл бұрын
@@Quadcopterguide as for m2 unlocking goes, i don't know, i juts seen some video (and i don't think i seen any other on that topic), guy showing his unlocked m2p drone, which could achieve higher speeds etc. i think it is done by firmware hacking, but this should be checked. I will try to find this video, but it was from same period, when m2 series just came out, i think..

jumping the weight up and down is one thing, but lifting it and holding altitude and for how long it can be held without going on fire is another thing
@Quadcopterguide9 ай бұрын
agreed. I couldnt believe it could even lift some of that weight.. i can only imagine the stress on the relatively thin carbon frame parts.

@@Quadcopterguide add a servo on a switch so you can drop the weight if needed, of course just for scientific purposes

I figured the FPV would win, but that’s a lot.
@Quadcopterguide4 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe, thanks for tuning in. I was shocked at how much the fpv quad could lift. Of course on paper I knew that the fpv quad had a crazy power to weight ratio. Didn’t think it would be this nuts out in the field though.

Very neat test. Sorta turned out the way I suspected, being fpv has more rpm /speed. (Nice man purse ⊙⊙) haa

Lol hey hunterws, thanks for tuning in it was kind of surprising to see the Mavic 2 pro lift as much as it did as well as the FPV drone that was just absolutely 🥜 nuts! Lol @ man purse.
