So it looks like officially the prop guards of the mini 1, for the Japanese version of the mini 2. Not sure if that means it won’t work at all. Guess we will have to wait for someone to try it.

Didn't stop the vid in time, but I picked B due to the colors, especially on the brown grass. Also, very impressive out of the box shots for a "budget" drone. Agree on the WB. I hate auto setting for the exact situation you showed around the hunting stand.

Many thanks for yet another excellent video! Actually the upcoming version of the FlyLitchi app will add to the functionallity to both Mavic Mini and Mini 2. An evelualtion license is availible through the iOS apps Test Flight and Litchi for DJI Drones. Among other things the FlyLitchi app has a very advanced system for the use of waypoints. Another consideration is the use of DJI Goggles. Currently they work only with the Phantom series, the Mavic Pro and the Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom, which is too bad.
@Quadcopterguide4 жыл бұрын
Hey runeburnan thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment! Awesome! Will have to give litchi a try again I guess. I do like using the native apps however. But it’s great that it is available.

Your A/B shot test: Did you zoom or crop any of the images? I'm a little bit disappointed. Not sure if because of the KZbin compression, but I wasn't impressed with either image and actually thought A was slightly sharper... (ie: the trees in the background) - BTW: I'm viewing on a PC monitor. Disappointed, as I am waiting for delivery on my Mini 2... hope it's an anomaly and due to KZbin compression!! BTW - There is a White balance setting in Camera settings.

Hey Howz, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Much appreciated! It surely is YT compression. I chose a scene with lots of grass and grass is one of the hardest things to compress since there is so much fine detail... Here. take a look at what i saw when i was editing with this less compressed image. Check it out on this page: www.quadcopterguide.com/dji-mini-2-cinematic-demo-first-impressions/

Always enjoy your videos. Cant wait to fly my air 2 with my daughter flying her mini 2. My only gripe is we live near a small airport so I have to get the dji permissions to operate since my property is in a section of restriction zone. I believe dji over does it with their geo fencing. Something I did not realize when I bought my air 2. Hoping at some point someone will come with a hack to give us more control over the big brother software.
@Quadcopterguide4 жыл бұрын
Hey Fish Munkey. Appreciate your kind words and watching! Not sure if there is a way to always allow flights once they have been unlocked. They aren’t DJI rules. I’m sure the Faa sets the guidelines. :). Hope you do enjoy the mavic air 2!
@backwoodzbum4 жыл бұрын
@@Quadcopterguide the geofencing is a real pain. I can't even launch the drone inside my own house not to mention my yard that I paid for and pay land taxes own. Just shows how even in our own homes we have no real freedom. Just because I live in a gray are that dji says is a restricted zone.
@runeburman4 жыл бұрын
By the way, have you noticed that the lens of the Mini’s are having a slight spherical distorsion? Meaning that the center of the frame is bent slightly upwards. Most noticable on 180 degress panorama shots. The distorsion is also more noticable on the Mini 2 than on the Mini 1. Probably due to the fact that DJI is pushing the camera futher on the Mini 2. What do you think?

Hey. I got a Mini 2 and noticed that videos from it looked a bit more magenta on daytime but it can be correctly colored during the editing on post. I was surprised to see how clear they looked, especially in low light at a dark night. A is an original Mini and B is Mini 2.
@Quadcopterguide4 жыл бұрын
Hey shiwadaay07, thanks for tuning in again! I haven't noticed the magenta shift, will have to keep an eye out. I know magenta isn't normally fixable with whitebalance, but can you get the difference closer by messing with whitebalance(in the quad)? You were correct of course on which was which in the comparison.
