The GL10 comes in a small box with just a couple pieces in it. You have the GL10 Spotlight with the 2 thumbscrews for securing to your Mavic 3 Enterprise and a lens cleaning cloth.
This spotlight has multiple uses from everyday inspection work, search and rescue, suspect tracking and locating, and illuminating scenes for other public safety work.
As a warning, this spotlight is extremely bright and we do not suggest that you look directly into the light if you are flying it back towards you as it could disorient you and cause a distraction in your flight.
There are 2 beams of light, one on the left and one on the right which converge into one single beam of spotlight. The middle of the GL10 has a red and blue led in it for public safety uses. You can choose to run both red and blue flashes, or a blue only or red only flash. To install the light, pull back the USB-C cover on your Mavic 3 Enterprise and insert the light on top and secure it with the thumbscrews. Be sure not to overtighten the screws. Once it is installed, it is very secure and there will not be any vibrations or movement on the light.
Power up your drone and the remote controller. You will see on the right hand side of the screen and button that says PSDK. When you press that a menu box will come up that says GL10. Inside of there are 8 icons.
The top icon turns the light on and off. The second icon which looks like a lightning bolt is the flashing option for the light. The third icon is for the red and blue lights and inside of here you have 4 options; an off button, red and blue flash, red flash, and blue flash.
The fourth icon down is your brightness level. This can go from 0-100 with 100 being the brightest setting. Top right icon is the status of the light which shows temperatures and brightness levels. The second icon down on the right side is the orientation settings. The first option in here is the recentering of the light, second option will point the lights straight down, the third option recenters the pan and the fourth option pitches the lights down.
The third option on the right hand side is the AI button. We believe that this will be a future upgrade that will allow for AI tracking, but at this time, this button does not have a function.
The last option is the lock icon which locks the lights and when this is pressed, it locks the lights from moving with the camera gimbal. When this is unlocked, the lights will move when you pitch the camera gimbal up and down.
Inside of the main menu at the top right of the screen, you will see a PSDK option in there. On this menu you have the option to do everything we just covered before, but now you can fine tune the angles of each individual light. Depending on your use case you can have the lights going in different directions independently of each other.
