Well done. Your video made it clear to me that my expertise ends with removing the battery. Hopefully that’s all I will have to do. Thanks

A few days ago I noticed a "stress crack" in the upper body of my Mavic Air 2 near one of the forward legs of the drone. Your video was spot on for me in how to replace the upper body as well as watching out for the screws holding it in place on the bottom. Thanks!!

Hi Jack nice video. Can parts be obtained for the gimbal/ camera assembly for repair? Mine broke in two. The camera from the rotating lower half. First plant in a high tree in 2.5 years. My other DJI Phantom 3 Pro is still with me with original props and battery:)

Regarding the controller - I watched a vid from ALIENTECH about their antenna booster and noted that there were two internal antenna wires and the did not appear to be connected to the antenna/smart phone holder. Is this correct, the “antenna” is not the actual antenna. Great vid, thanks

Thanks for the vid! It'd be lovely if you could do an assembly vid as well. Yeah, it's pretty much a reversal. But things like putting the front shoulder joint (?) into the half-way position to pre load it is not quite obvious. Also I had a heck of a time prying off the front sensor cover. Really felt like I was breaking it! Finally prying up a tiny bit on each ear (same clips you mentioned at 2:08) at the rear top shell make removal MUCH easier! It was so tight, I kept looking to see if I'd removed the screws! Nonetheless, yours was a very good vid! thanks again!

I came to watch this video when I was about to break the same thing you broke. Luckily, you broke it, so I didn't have to! The new Air 2S is substantially similar to this.

Hello, very good video, I have a big doubt, I want to know if you know where exactly the compass is located in the Mavic Air 2, I had a similar doubt with the compass of the Mavic Air v1 and after investigating more than 6 I was able to confirm that it was located in the main board, that is, it is integrated with the board. Do you know if the same thing happens with the Mavic Air 2 version? Thank you

Question about the bottom cover on the Mavic air 2... There are two round sensors on each side of the LED. When you take the bottom cover off, do those have glass in them or are they just empty holes? In other words, is there supposed to be glass covering the glass sensors? Thanks
@dansmith69903 жыл бұрын
Don't think so. Google "mavic air 2 bottom cover" and you'll see they're just holes

You videos are god sends very thorough. Can you shoot a video on how to repair DJI Mavic Air Pro that fell into ocean salt water. Sent to DJI in Dallas, Tx. They wanted 400+ to refurbish it. I’d rather try myself. I’m on vacation in Maldives. I’m using DJI Mini 3 Pro. But I still want my Air pro back. Peace. JTG

Hi mate. Is it possible to buy spare parts from DJI? The bottom shell of mine that covers the light and sensors that says Mavic on it has been scratched up pretty bad. I was hoping if it’s just a piece of plastic that it can be replaced. Thanks.

Hi Jack, thank you for this guideline. Really appreciate. I have some questions. Basically, due to new European regulations, I need to decrease 570 grams weight of the Mavic Air 2 to 500 grams. I have an idea to get rid of avoidance sensors (Front,Down,Rear). Related to the above, the questions as follow: 1. Is there a chance to measure the weight of each module are shown in the video: - Front sensors (3:35) - Down sensors (4:29) - Rear sensor (7:05) 2. What are the parts may be considered as redundant? Just in case if avoidance sensors will not cut 70 grams. 3. In case I remove 3 mentioned modules and disable the avoidance sensors in the setting of the app. Would it be working fine? 4. Is the a chance to remove - Rear sensor (7:05) without unsoldering work? Thank you a lot for any information. it will help me a lot to make a decision. I believe for many people in Europe that would be helpful, due to the new European restrictions (valid from 1 July 2020) with drones above 500 grams. Thank you a lot

So your from DJI Drone Service, can you tell me why when i put my battery in my drone, and try to connect the drone to my controller, the drone slightly turns on, i can hear it turn on, the battery light turns on, and the blades wiggle a bit, but the front and rear lights on the arms dont turn on and it doesn't go into pair mode to connect to my controller, ive had my drone for very little time before it started doing this, and it hasn't been in any rough conditions, how can i fix it or can you send me in the direction of someone who can fix it.
