Of all of JJ‘s podcasts, my favorite is always when he gets together with RJ. Something about the fit that just works. That said if I might throw in an opinion, JJ, please don’t accept the LA Lakers job. We, your fans/listeners, would never be able to look at you the same way knowing that you were willing to be somebody sloppy seconds. Another job opening will occur, be at this year or next, from an organization that would actually be willing to treat you with some respect. Please wait for them!

It's insane the narratives people run with about him and say how he's been "terrible" in this years finals. Aside from the turnovers game 1 and his poor shooting efficiency he's played near perfect basketball. Meanwhile if he was putting up 30 5 and 4 while playing bad defense people would say he's going off, it's actually crazy how some people view hoops man lol

Crazy that you guys mentioned Spencer Haywood. When I was 18 i moved to Las Vegas to play basketball. 2 of my best friends (who also played) and 1 of my cousins also moved and we all rented a house in Henderson. We would go to the 24hr fitness almost everyday to play, workout and get shots up when we couldn't go to the school gym. There was an old guy that would come and watch 5v5 games a few minutes in between his workouts and one day he came and spoke to the 3 of us asking us where we're from and giving us compliments about how we played and if we play anywhere on a team. We sat and talked to him for an hour that day and it turns out that man was Spencer Haywood who played for the Seattle Sonics which was even crazier considering we all came from and largely grew up in the Seattle/Tacoma area! Had no clue who he was but we knew he was someone considering he was tall and always into basketball. We ended up forming a friendship with him and speak evey so often even now years later. I'll never forget that moment and time in my life. RIP Jerry and Bill. These type of people always had a love for the game and spread it to everyone their entire lives. I'm blessed to call Spencer a friend and mentor.

Jerry West, the Logo ... I just saw some footage a day or two ago. (2:01) Its true basketball is still a young sport, relatively ... still coalescing I want to say, but its more like growing still. I say everyone can play basketball, tall or not. So that's the only issue, is rim height, or height differences of players rather. Different leagues of rim height could be a thing in the future. (9:59) He said something interesting. great mic's! invisible mode ...

Tatum learned to be strong with the basketball in traffic and to play through the fouls if you don’t hear whistle you must keep control and get ball to where it needs to go . Could always see he knew the play but when contact came ball would break free replay would show clear foul but it ended up being a fast break down other and 2 points for team. Now he plays thought it and gets the dish to the cutting player Holiday on most cases lately for an easy lay up . Tatum’s ability to do this attributed big time to holiday’s big scoring night and he gave props to Tatum immediately for that . Also he kicks ball out to players for open 3s doing this and most didn’t fall in that game 2 but it was there. Could have easily had 15-18 assists in that game if shots were falling from his kick outs . People have to be aware of this fact and realize 15 assists is 30-40 points created plus the 18 he dropped himself that’s over half the points scored in a game 😆 but he was awful huh lol . Most look at Fg percentage and think that’s how well a guy played but with JT game this is absolutely not where to look for how well he played . Mostly you look at assists rebounds and defense stats as well as turnovers. If those positive stats are up you know he played a good game .

The Mavs can do one change offensively that’ll open everything up and I’m certain they will. Ball screener can’t be the Dallas bigs. The Celtics are putting a wing on the Dallas bigs so that when Luka kyrie call for a high screen and roll, the Celtics can just switch to counter. Instead the Mavs need to get DJJ, exum, PJ, whoever Horford and Zingus are guarding, as soon as they do that the roll man will open up, kyrie and luka will have an iso opportunity or a dunkers spot lob every single time

Everyone freaking out about KP injury please remember the last time Boston played at Dallas. Boston won 119-110 WITHOUT KP. Kyrie shot 9-20. Luka had a 33-18-13 line. Dallas did not have PJ Washington, BUT got 34 from Hardaway and Green. Yet Boston still won. JT and JB shot 4-15 from deep and Boston still won. This damn thing is a sweep people. The media is trying so hard to build a narrative that Dallas has a shot. I get that’s their job, but I trust my eyes and numbers and 13 straight against Kyrie squads, 7 in a row over the Mavericks, and 2-0 in the Finals has shown me Boston is the better team. Dallas might get one whereas it would be a sweep, does t change the result. Celtics in 5.
