Makes sense, if we compare C0R0 Mav vs C0R0 Arle, in a period of 2 rotations, she's up to 30% more dmg, If we count only one rotation she up to 60% more dmg. The thing is, those results are correct if we assume the rotation ends, In practice and on my experience, in the only end game content we have (abyss), we usually don't finish a rotation whit mav, couse enemies either get onetaped or they die after Q + a couple of donuts which makes the gap even bigger.

Yeah I mean everyone and their mother knows that Mavuika is higher on a spreadsheet, but Arlecchino can still outperform in some scenarios since Mavuika sometimes has to waste almost half of her rotation's damage on a weak first wave, as well as Arlecchino having a shorter rotation. Spreadsheet DPS has never been Arlecchino's argument. This seems to also assume 16s Mavuika rot which is literally not possible unless you need one rotation since Mavuika's burst is 18s CD. Bosses chambers with one wave before are very common. Also idk whether it assumes Mav's old or new combo. Also idk why we're talking about Arle Vape here since Overload even without C6 Chev and Kaz+Xilo teams were always better than Vape Arle in practice, though not on sheets. For example C0 PJWS Arlecchino just performs the same as C0R1 Mav against 12-1-1, and C1 Arle performs better. So it's not like DPS on a spreadsheet means anything really

@osmano8498 1. Mavuika burst is actually a 16s cooldown since it works like raidens Typing on mobile so I’ll have to make multiple edits to respond to all this 2. No overload was not flat out there is no reason to think that 3. 12-1-1 is 75% dmg bonus for arle 4. You can argue that mavuika waisted her burst on those smaller enemies but she will still do better because her charge attacks are just that strong. 5. These are numbers I got from my own gameplay footage and not just numbers I randomly got btw.

The fact that she has a 2s burst animation so you see a 16s when it ends doesn't change the fact that it's a 18s CD and that the rotation is 18s long.. so translating 3.529M DPR to 220k DPS is just false. In a nutshell 220k DPS is true if you clear specifically in 16s but that's something nobody does in calculations. Nobody assumes 16s Mavuika rots simply because they aren't a thing. Every calc assume 18/18.5s. 2. Already argued about on the other comment 3. Sure but I did mention she was using PJWS while Mavuika has R1. Not to mention that Arle already has an overdose of DMG% so there are diminishing returns. But the real point I was making is that calcs doesn't really say anything for actual performance as the difference in practice really isn't close to what the numbers would portray (not to mention that, as already said, 40% is false since 16s rots aren't a thing).

As someone who had c1r1 arlecchino before mavuika's release I didn't pull mavuika. Getting one extra constellation for arlecchino is greater than c0r0 mavuika. Naturally I'm using my luck on arlecchino. Sure if you are new to game and you plan to pick pyro dps then mavuika is safer choice but for veteran who has pulled 5 star constellations you should stay with you plan. Plus I didn't like mavuika's animation same with neuvillette even though I have all of their best supports.

Sure both of them uses same character in their best teams but mavuika's team is completed. It isn't going to be stronger in the future outside artifact or constellation farming. For example there is two main carries who uses bond of life mechanisms and many weapons for it. So there is a change to get support for bond of life characters. I can't picture stronger mavuika team outside of core xilonen + citlali teams. What do you think is mavuika getting better support than those two?

All she needs is one natlan character beyond that if someone comes out and works with mavuika better than either Xilonen or Citlali then you just get rid of the one that’s worse. Saying they might make a dedicated bond of life support is crazy since there is legit no evidence of them using that mechanic like that at all. Don’t forget you’re replacing the same teammates Citlali or Xilonen for arle too.

But we should consider that Mavuika is using Bennet, Xilonen, and Citlali, while Arlecchino has similar timings with Sucrose instead of Xilonen. So, since the Abyss requires two teams, we might need to consider the timings of two teams, for example: Arlecchino, Bennet, Sucrose, Citlali + Neuvillette, Xilonen, Furina, Kazuha Mavuika, Bennet, Xilonen, Citlali + Neuvillette, Furina, Kazuha, Flex (which could be Ororon or a healer/buffer). What I mean is that Mavuika needs to use all the best buffers, while Neuvillette performs really well with Xilonen, and it's a pity not to play his premium team: Neuvillette, Kazuha, Xilonen, Furina. Also, until one patch ago, Overload was the best team for Arlecchino (and maybe it still is with all the C6 4-stars), while now she can use Melt with Sucrose. I think Arlecchino is very future-proof, something better than Sucrose will eventually be released, whereas Mavuika will remain tied to Natlan characters.

I being testing too, and I made a dumb realization, I being using sucrose instead of xilonen because the EM boost gave me a bigger boost in the nuke, turns out, I obviously made a mistake there because, xilonen gives me a bigger boost on my melt donuts and a slightly bigger number on the nuke with petra, like very minor, but the buffs on the donuts are enough to amplify my rotation by a significant margin, I nearly one cycle the capibara boss with my mavuika at c2 and that thing has 5 million HP, the issues I run into are that the sucrose team is a lot easier to consistently melt mavuika's burst, while the xilonen one is harder to melt because you sometimes have to get the crystal and it isn't always in front of you, so you either have to delay your burst a bit, or do xilonen's burst to get back into the rotation timing, both of which are fine but I like my consistency, also my sucrose isnt c6, so i'm losing some DMG bonus, but to be fair, that damage bonus is likely to mess up my rotation, since that is tied to sucrose burst, which can in turn mess with my reactions, I also tried citlali on instructor, and while it has similar damage to xilonen with petra, it has another big issue, the energy, is dogshit, the shield is also papertin since EM is low because of instructor not being a 5 star set, overall, I feel xilonen on petra is the best choice, it still need some adjustments on rotations because you have to grab the crystal, but the damage at the end of the day is worth working for.

Nice vid, I just got c1r1 arlecchino after getting c0r1 mavuika and this just confirms the eye test where mavuika still clears domains faster on average even with 1 fewer constellation. Any content creator still doesnt think mav is the best dps (and at least top 3 c0 character) in the game is coping hard! As for why I kept pulling for arle? Because I got lucky on her banners especially the weapon, arle c1r1 costed me similar amount of primos compared to c0r1 mav so I'll be playing both. Mavuika feels better to play and is way stronger and its not close though, imagine if she didnt get nerfed in beta, wouldve completely break the game.

The gap was extremely larger than i expected tbh Initially i was 100% sure that mavuika's best team was going to be way better than arlecchino's best team [which is the same team as mavuika lol] but what i did not expect was mavuika winning in a "no 5 star team", i thought arlecchino without five stars would be able to beat mavuika without five stars, i tried the "no 5 star team" because i saw a LOT of people saying arlecchino would/is better if you dont have natlan 5 star supports so i wanted to try it out myself by giving arlecchino the same restriction of not using 2 of her best 5 star supports [yelan and kazuha/citlali and xilonen] because mavuika wouldnt be using 2 of her best 5 star supports either [xilonen and citlali] to make it fair cause, why restrict x to say an unrestricted y is better? There is no point lol, so, i used mavuika/rosaria/kachina/bennet and then arlecchino/sucrose ttds/xingqiu/bennet and mavuika was winning in 2 realistic situations by quite a large margin [i.e, 200FS mavuika vs 200BoL arlecchino and 150-160 FS vs Non Full BoL arlecchino], the only positive thing that came out from arlecchino is that her team is better but not in terms of damage, you aint using rosaria and kachina if you dont have mavuika lol, but sucrose and xingqiu are universal

For the sake of your sanity if you ever decide to do this again, it might be simpler to calculate the units highest possible damage per attack that you use, and then take an average of their damage output simply by multiplying it by their Crit rate to simulate realistic damage output. It won't be perfect, but its close enough, and might save you some stress. For example, if you calculate your unit can dish out 2,000,000 damage in a rotation, and they have 85% Crit rate, their expected output will be around 1,700,000.

I mean its close enough where its pretty much just play who you want lol. Arle is still a monster, and her playstyle might be preferable for some people over Mav. Or maybe you like Mav's playstyle better. Can arle provide enough pyro dps to clear content efficiently in the game? Yes. Heck, even Hutao can still fill her pyro dps role efficiently enough, and she was legit powercreeped to heck when arle came out haha. Point is, genshin isnt a pvp game, or even a game that has super hard end game content for the power differences in these characters to even matter. You can literally play who you want without worrying about if you can clear genshin's "end game" content (pretty much just spiral abyss at this point lol).

and 5/6 of those were C1 R1 which is an extra 80 summons, also Arlecchino had a LOT more teams on the list. In total Mavuika had 3 teams on the list and Arle had 15. If you look at the dps list its more like Arlecchino is the melt mechant as that's the only team she beat Mavuika with.

Neuvilette was never the best dps for damage, hes so strong because he’s absolutely braindead and his only team building restriction is “do hydro reactions lol” and at c1 he removes all his weaknesses (can have hydro resonance + resistance to interrupt) Hes still the “best dps” for being completely braindead and being good in nearly every abyss (this one was specifically designed to make the c1 neuvi everyone bought last patch feel bad so they buy arle) Until they make someone who does arle or mavs damage WITH neuvs ease of use, he will remain the king of general use dpsers

Mavuika is pretty disgustingly clear of everyone, cost for cost the only one who can compete is Mualani and that's only cause she soaks up investment to herself better than horizontally investing into teammates. A lot of Mavuika's power budget is behind her teams, namely the very best one with Citlali and Xilonen, to the extent that a c0r0 Mavuika will feel much better to play than a C0R1 in Vape. I just hope people start to realize that we're entering a new era for damage dealers and to not be surprized when content and new carries are starting to catch up.

Im returning so im missing best teams but sucrose over xilonen for mav and im doing literally double the damage of neuvs rotation with just the burst initial hit Neuv is still way more comfy and honestly he seems he was already getting outdpsed before mav, hes always the comfort pick, like sns in mh or ashe in lol.

Well c6 is cracked so it's worth it. So, pulling for Arlechino is not a bad idea. Idk why people call her mary sue when they don't know its true meaning. If she was, she wouldn't have to sacrifice herself to be reborn again. She's a tragic character that had to keep her sanity during her trance state in the sacred flame where she was awake yet dead. She couldn't defeat the abyss herself, needing the 6 heroes powers + travellers help + shade's power. She had to sacrifice her life but was saved due to Capitano's sacrifice. If she really was Mary sue, she would have completed everything without having to do these things. The final boss being so disappointing could have fueled the fire more about her being mary sue. I mean we didn't have any difficulties defeating him lol😆

However, that didn’t happen. Instead, the boss fight felt lackluster, with no real sense of urgency or danger. This is a major reason why many players see her as a Mary Sue. Her dialogue and viewpoints often come across as overly confident or idealistic, reinforcing that perception. But since she still needed help from others, she doesn’t fully fit the Mary Sue archetype, though she comes very close, especially compared to the other characters in Genshin Impact.

I don't know why u hated her but Just u know if hoyo keep releasing these absurdly very powerful dps characters non stop, they r gonna increase the difficulty in the abyss. Although rather than difficulty it's like abyss make ur team building hard without new characters . Take the previous abyss for example. And majority players r not that skilled enough to clear those annoying abyss Powercreep is something which will happen eventually. But the way Arlecchino just got powercreept by mevuika' so brutality I don't know what to say. Hoyo could have just made her slightly stronger than arlecchino cuz arlecchino didn't even get her first rerun before mevuika release and it's just 8 months.
