Which would then make Max mad and say something along the lines of, "Well why don't YOU try it then!?" To which Goofball would respond "Ok~!" and possess Max in order to try it out (because that sounds like something Goofball would definitely do). I've only ever had drugs once, but even when I'm sober and staring at a floor long enough, it feels like it's moving. I've had this experience before AND after the one-time use. This is a normal function of the brain. If you stare at the exact same spot for a couple of minutes, you brain doesn't know what to do with the visual information and tries to fill in the gaps, which turns a little wacky.
