The worst scenario is they get thier little paws on the wet ink before it dries and you panic in trying to get it off thier little beans before they lick it off and get sick. Also, you'd have to redo the art, most likely. Yes, Garfield is a cartoon cat and can do human things, but he's also at core, a cat who does cat things if the plot calls for it. There's plenty of strips where Garfield acts like a regular cat, which are honestly kind of cute Since Garfield has a penchant for being a little mischievous, I can imagine that there's been a few incidents with him in Jon's work room involving either inky paw prints or shredded papers because he's a curious or bored kitty. Of course, I'm probably over thinking it. 😅

Well, I've heard the explanation for the dog semen drinking joke is that it wasn't meant to be interpreted as dog semen. It was probably some kind of dog fertility medicine and Liz was just making a joke about Jon becoming pregnant with puppies just to mess with him. A friend of mine made a similar joke when she gave my male friend a women's health vitamin telling him it was just regular candy, told him he was going to start his period soon because he ate it, and he got visibly worried.

Yeah. Maybe if you’ve never seen Garfield in anything. But to me, it doesn’t do justice to any of the characters. Nermal is a full grown cat for some reason, Jon and Liz actually get along, and there’s absolutely no reason for the Garfield to be the only CGI version of the animal characters.
