@@JeffSainlarVisuals BOTH! I feel the UFC meta has shifted, toward more cerebral fighting. (CKB's influence lol) Holloway from Volk 1, Volk 2, and Kattar are different better versions. Ortegas game evolved similarly, and others. It's an awesome Era seeing these guys pushed to their best versions. 👏. Volkanovski has a task ahead of him this year with Ortega then Holloway 3. He got a legacy waiting on the other side tho if he conquers them! 💪🏾💪🏾 2021 is a year to behold in mma.

Do u workout everyday yo be a fighter and study techniques in every fighting style to be a true mixed martial artist and enjoy feeling pain? If not then u could also say ur a casual, but we're all the same, some know more but if that guys watched all the shit u did he would know what u know about fighting, fighting is easy to learn if it's in ur blood and of not then just hard work.

Been saying this for a LONG time. Elite MMA fighters such as Max, would benefit tremendously from training in Thailand with guys like Samart. Amongst other Thai legends that is.

I believe this is what more MMA fighters need with fundamental striking. The Thai's got it all figured out, and it is called the "Art of 8 Limbs" for a REASON.

@H.E. Pennypacker Sure, they train it....but it's not authentic. Get it? When doing MMA, you have to diverse yourself to other forms of combat. You can't stick to one specific category. If you put on a full muay thai training circuit for a MMA fighter, I can guarantee you will see the difference in how a MMA fighter strike, compared to a legitimate full time Muay Thai striker. Fundamentals is key, just like all forms whether its BJJ, wrestling, etc.

Already should of won it the second fight. I find it interesting how no one is talking about Max's new kicking game that he's showcased in the second Volk fight and really refined by the Kattar fight. The way Max has responded to the first Volk loss is tremendous and inspiring.

TBH Samart's style helps with every MMA fighter since he emphasizes clean basics and efficiency. He teaches you to use less muscle to get your power to the opponent via solid balance

I trained in thailand, its so hot out there and the humidity is sucking out every bit of sweat you have. Oh not forget the thai trainers are relentless, every time you getting comfortable they trick you and ad some new stuff to keep your mind working but man its fun

One of the amazing things about training in Thailand with these legends is that they train everyone basically the same. The fine-tune the basics. I trained with Samart and it was almost identical to this session.

Learning the Muay Thai art at least got him away from exposing the front leg which a standard boxing stance is susceptible to leg kicks. Good thing nobody exposed that part of his usual stance before learning in Thailand.
