this theory is common in all arts , its the body connection that creates the power, using your structure in a way thats connected from the ground to the hands and with relaxed muscles causes crazy power without muscle tensing and swinging very hard. So few can actually apply it well, of course he can , its awesome to see him sharing his technique!!

Sylvie i’m really interested in his footwork. He definitely pinches his feet like you mention in the video and his stance at times is much more bladed than the traditional open Thai stance (in his fights when he jabs or reaches in to throw the cross to the body). It much closer at times to a western boxer’s stance. I wonder what he would say about the conventional wisdom about leaving yourself open to leg kicks
@dt0776 жыл бұрын
He is definitely more vulnerable to leg kicks with that setup, that much is obvious. He has trained extensively for Western boxing and has competed at the top levels, so you'll note his style is a fluid blend of Muay Thai and boxing. He's trading off lead leg vulnerability for crisper technique with the hands in addition to offering less of a target when bladed. I imagine that most fighters would get leg kicked out of the ring in round 2 if they fought like that, but Samart makes it work.
